In the name of Allah The Merciful The Compassionate Alsalam Alaikum Wa RahmatuAllahi Wa BarakatuHu, My dear brothers and sisters, let us pray and give out of what Allah has given us, secretly and openly, before their comes to us the day of judgement, where there will be no trade and no friends to help us. Give for the sake of Allah, and only for the sake of Allah, in the way of Allah. Don't let the whispers of the shaitan that make us fear poverty for our families keep us away from earning the delights that Allah has made for us in the Jannah, where Allah will multiply for us many many times, and forgive us. Anything we spend, out of love for Allah, Allah will reward with a good repayment in the coolness of the Jannah. May Allah be gracious to all of us, and give us very much goodness in the beautiful homes of the Jannah. Amin. --------------------------------- Sahabah's suspending trade at the time of Salaat. Hadhrat Abdullah bin Umar (Radhiyallaho Anho) once visited the market. He noticed that at the time of Salaat, everybody closed his shop and flocked to the Mosque. He remarked: These are people about whom Allah has remarked, "Men whom neither merchandise nor sale beguile them from remembrance of Allah and constancy in Salaat and paying the Zakat. They fear a day when hearts and eyes will be overturned." (XXIV:37) Hadhrat Ibn Abbas (Radhiyallaho Anho) says, "These people were completely absorbed in their trade, but when they heard Adhaan they left everything and hastened towards the Mosque." He once remarked, "By Allah, they were such traders whose trade did not hinder them from the remembrance of Allah." Hadhrat Abdullah bin Masood (Radhiyallaho Anho) once chanced to be in the market when Adhaan was called out. He noticed everybody leaving his shop as it was, and proceeding to the Mosque. He remarked, "These are surely the persons of whom Allah says: "Men whom neither merchandise nor sale beguile them from remembrance of Allah and constancy in Salaat and paying the Zakat." (XXIV:37) " Another Hadith has it: All the people shall be gathered on the Day of Judgment, when it will be asked, "Who are those who glorified Allah in ease and adversity?" A group will arise and enter Paradise without any reckoning. Again it will be asked, "Who are those who kept away from their beds and passed their nights in worshipping their Creator?" Another group will arise and enter Paradise without any reckoning. The angel will ask yet again, "Where are those whom trade did not hinder them from remembering Allah?" And yet another group will arise and enter Paradise without any reckoning. After these three groups have departed, reckoning would commence for the people in general. ------------ |
