Some Common Duas

When you start to do anything
Bismillah irRahman irRaheem.
In the Name of Allah, The Most Gracious, The Most Kind.

Prayer for after each meal
Alhamdu lillahil-ladhi atamana wa saqana wa jaalana min-al-Muslimin.
Praise is to God Who fed us and gave us drink and made us Muslims.
________________________________________________________________________

After sneezing say:
Alhamdu lillah!
Praise be to Allah!

Listener should say:
Yarhamukallah!
May Allah show you Mercy!

In response to this say:
Yahdikullah!
May Allah guide you!

Before Entering the Bathroom
Allahumma inni audhu bika minal khubthi wal khabaith.
God I seek thy Protection against the devils of the masculine as well as the feminine species.

Emerging from the Bathroom
Alhamdu lillahi-l-ladhi adhaba annil adha wa afani.
I thank the Lord who relieved me of the burden and granted me ease.

When leaving home
Bismillahi tawakkaltu alAllah wa la haula wa quwatta illa billah.
In the Name of Allah, there is no strength or power except with Allah.

Dua for the morning and evening
Raditu billahi Rabban wa bil-Islami dina wa bi Muhammadin sall-Allahu alaihi was sallam Nabiya.
I am pleased with Allah as the Lord and Islam as the religion and Muhammad (pbuh) as the Prophet.

At the time of Anger
Audhu billahi minash-Shaitan-ir-rajim.
I seek refuge with Allah from Satan, the cursed one.

When anyone favors One with good
Jazak Allahu Khairun.
May Allah give you a better reward.

When intending to sleep
Bismika Allahumma amutu wa ahya.
With your Name, O Allah I die and live.

After waking up
Alhamdulillaahillazi ahyaanaa ba'da maa amaata-naa wa ilaihinnushuur
All praise to Allah (SWT), Who revived us to life after givening us death, and to him we shall have to return.
________________________________________________________________________

When facing an enemy
Hasbun-Allahu wa Nim-al-Wakil.
Allah is sufficient for us and He is the best disposer of affairs (for us).
________________________________________________________________________

When visiting a sick person
La basa tahuran insha Allah.
Never mind, it is a purifier if Allah wills.
________________________________________________________________________

When visiting a Muslim graveyard
As-salamo alaikum dara qaumi-mo mineen wa inna in sha Allahu bikum lahiqun.
Peace be upon you, the dwellers among the believing people; and if Allah wills we are also to join you.

When any affliction occurs to me
Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi rajioon Allahumma ajirni fi musibati wa akhlif li khairran minha.
Truly! To Allah we Belong and Truly to Him we shall return. O Allah! Compensate me for my hardship and provide me
a substitute of it.

On entering the mosque, put your right foot in and say:
Alahummaftah li abwaba rahmatika.
O Allah! Open for me the gates of Your Mercy.
(After entering the mosque, pray two Rakah, Tahiyyat ul-Masjid.)

On coming out of the mosque, put your left foot out and say:
Allahuma inni asaluka min fadlika.                
O Allah! I ask You from Your Favors.

Dua to begin Fast
Bi-Saum-in ghadin nawaitu min shahr-i-Ramadan.
I have the intention to observe tommorrow a Fast of the Month of Ramadan.

Dua to break Fast
Allahumma la-ka sumtu wa'ala rizqi-ka aftart-u.
O Allah! I have observed the Fast for Thy sake and broken it with the provision bestowed by Thee.

At a time of distress
Has -bi -yal-laa-hu wa ni'- mal wa-keel
Allah (SWT) is sufficient for me and He is the Best Helper.

For Parents
Rabbighfir lii wa liwaalidayya wa lilmu miniina yauma yaquumul hisaab, Rabbirhamhumaa kamaa rabbayaanii
shaghiiraa.
O Lord, forgive me, my parents and Muslims in the Hereafter. O Lord, show mercy on them as they have nourished me when I
was young.

Before Studying
Allaahumma infa'nii bimaa 'allamtanii wa'allimnii maa yanfa'unii.
O my Lord, make useful for me what you hath thought me and teach me knowledge that will be useful to me.

Before you begin to spech in public...Basmala than the Hamd to Allah swt than the Salawat to our beloved Rasulullah saw..Like so with my spell;

Auzubillahiminesh Shaytanirracim, Bismillahirrahmanirrahim, Alhamdulillahi Rabbil Alemin, Was Salatu Was Salamu Ala Rasulina Muhammadin wa Alaa Alihi Wa Sahbihi Acmain...
