| I like the response...I think that the first letter is full of a lot of misconceptions .. ie not all muslims support saddam.. in fact i doubt if ANY do period.. and Muslims do not support forced anything... The fact that some people do things doesn't mean it's supported by Islam or in any way Islamic. |

| [slm] I think the first letter probably represents all the misconceptions that people have about Islam. What offends me sometimes is that people associate Islam with the Middle East only. Even when they mention American Muslims they are only referring to the immigrants. I want to jump up and down and say, "hey! I'm an American! Do you think I would leave my "freedom" for "oppression?" Anyway, I loved the response. That was one of the best response letters I've ever read, masha Allah. Thanks for sharing that with us. [slm] |
