| Caraj (who cannot post the normal way) I looked up the term dua's here in Medina and it says supplication. Can someone define that. Does supplication mean pray or request or both? I am fine and safe but if I had a prayer/ prayer request It would be for my husband. He has no beliefs at all. He doesn't believe there is a God and doesn't believe there isn't one. Whatis worrysome to me is he has no seeking desire. I know this is between him and God but as his wife I worry. |

| [slm] Ok in Islam we have the salat which is usually translated as prayer, but its meaning and significance is closer to worship, as in physically, mentally, and spiritually we are worshipping and submitting to Allah. Now dua'h is a means of seeking guidance, protection, etc. After acknowledging that Allah is the disposer of all affairs and offering thanks and praise, one can ask, request, seek, etc. For example if I am confused about an issue or need clarity I will make duah al-istikhara as advised by the Prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam. And Allah is so merciful and generous that even those that deny and reject, Allah still gives them sustenance. Reading about your husband reminded me of that. On a side note, it's amazing to me because I have made duah after Fajr and by Isha time it had been granted! [wlm] |

| The_Reciter I made an post via annon but don't see it out here, I am having pc problems and don't know what is going on maybe you can help. When I go to this Medina board once I post I can't on that pc anymore. It is sooooooo odd and weird and has happened to me on several private and public pc's It's like once I log in and or post and go back later I cannot do it again. This has happened at library pc's and friends pc and on my home pc. Someone said something about cookies. This I do not understand. But it happens at diff libraries and in different states. Any ideas? |
