Didn't You like my tears, my prayers... ?
---------------------------------------------------

What is so gone wrong?
What seemed little, now seems long…

Did You not accept his prayers?
Did You not like his tears?

Did you not receive his thanks
For the food he eats, and water he drinks

Every dhikr he repeats a hundred times
Only to know if You love him as he thinks

Sitting and standing, he asks and begs
Until there comes pain on his hands and legs

Still… O Rabb!
Why is his heart so dumb?

Still… why is no light
Making his heart bright?

This is such a blessed Month
Still, upon this world is his heart bent

What is so gone wrong?
What seemed little, now seems long…

The hands are counting
The lips are moving
Still, O My Dear Creator
Why to You my hearts isn't roving?

My soul is finding no peace
When from it You are at a distant pace

Without a single inspiring guide
I am alone in my solitary ride
Away from this world my soul has shied
Since no one is worthy for it to confide

Whenever I commit any thoughtless fault
With much Mercy towards me have You dealt

What is so gone wrong?
What seemed little, now seems long…

Allah! Do I not deserve your pleasure?
When I'm calling you without any leisure

Day and night have I perpetually sinned
Yet, my hopes upon You are eagerly pinned.

Make me understand
As the companions of Right Hand
Sound into my ears
A little of those joyful words

'Enter among my servants
Enter into my paradise'.

my sister,

I'm writing this for me more than for you, because i have the same problem from time to time....

be sure my sister that whenever you raise your hands and say 'Ya Rabb' that your du'a is answered, you should have no doubt in that because Allah swt says : "And your Lord says: Call on Me; I will answer your Prayer" (40:60)

so your du'a is answered bithiniAllah...

and it's in the hadith that the Messenger of Allah, said, "You will be answered as long as you are not impatient and say, 'I have made a dua and I have not been answered.' " ž

also in the hadith that
"No-one makes a dua without one of three things happening. Either it is answered, or it is stored up for him, or wrong actions are atoned for by it." ž

the answer maybe delayed because Allah swt loves to hear your voice...because he wants to teach you how to fight you shaitan because shaitan will come to you and say :"Look... Allah swt don't love you because he didn't answered your prayers"

i'm not that good in writing but i want you to look at that hadith, i think it has everything about du'a and guidance

Abu Dharr reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying that Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, said: My servants, I have made oppression unlawful for Me and unlawful for you, so do not commit oppression against one another. My servants, all of you are liable to err except one whom I guide on the right path, so seek right guidance from Me so that I should direct you to the right path. O My servants, all of you are hungry (needy) except one whom I feed, so beg food from Me, so that I may give that to you. O My servants, all of you are naked (need clothes) except one whom I provide garments, so beg clothes from Me, so that I should clothe you. O My servants, you commit error night and day and I am there to pardon your sins, so beg pardon from Me so that I should grant you pardon. O My servants, you can neither do Me any harm nor can you do Me any good. O My servants, even if the first amongst you and the last amongst you and even the whole of human race of yours,
and that of jinns even, become (equal in) God-conscious like the heart of a single person amongst you, nothing would add to My Power. O My servants, even if the first amongst you and the last amongst you and the whole human race of yours and that of the Jinns too in unison become the most wicked (all beating) like the heart of a single person, it would cause no loss to My Power. O My servants, even if the first amongst you and the last amongst you and the whole human race of yours and that of jinns also all stand in one plain ground and you ask Me and I confer upon every person what he asks for, it would not. in any way, cause any loss to Me (even less) than that which is caused to the ocean by dipping the needle in it. My servants, these for you I shall reward you for thern, so he who deeds of yours which I am recording finds good should praise Allah and he who does not find that should not blame anyone but his ownself. Sa'id said that when Abu Idris Khaulini narrated this
hadith he knelt upon his knees.ž

may Allah swt grant you peace and forgiveness and bless you and your family
amen amen amen

Ya Allah
Eyes have slept, and stars have set, and You are the Living and Self Subsistent."

Jazak Allahu Kairon Brother

That was beautiful.  Yes I have heard some of those hadiths, I definately needed a reminder... now I have become even more strong, thankyou.
When I made the du'as I was confident that Allah(SWt) is going to accept them because the prophet said Allah accepts du'as during those times, but maybe Allah did in a different way.  and Allah Knows Best.  May Allah forgive me. and May Allah reward you.

your sister

ps. your quote in the bottom is so very true... May Allah help all of us to understand that everyone is fighting their own battle. Am'een.
