| MUSLIM AMERICAN SOCIETY (MAS) Invites all MSA Students to 'Ilm and Tarbiyah Winter Camp (Knowledge & Self-Development Winter Camp) Dec.29th-Jan.4th Santa Barbara, CA SPEAKERS: Imam Suhaib Webb (Bay Area) Sh. Abdul Jalil Mezgori (San Diego) Dr. Hisham Abdallah (Bay Area) Sh. Shaker El-Sayed (Washington, DC) Sister Ghaida Mosbacha (Bay Area) Br. Imad Bayoun (LA) Sh. Zahid Abu Ghuda (Canada)- invited. The purpose of this camp is to transform you. It seeks to soften your heart, to deepen your bond with Allah. It seeks to instill good habits to last for years to come. This camp is designed to transform your life. Tarbiya and ?Ilm are life-long endeavors for every Muslim. These subjects are cornerstones of our camp and cornerstones of a believer?s life. Although Tarbiya and ?Ilm are so important, we are rarely able to devote a full week to these goals. This winter camp represents a wonderful opportunity to focus on what matters most: our relationship with Allah. Seize this opportunity and devote yourself to it. Inshaa? Allah we will be honored to have distinguished scholars with us, whose company is a true blessing to us all. We will also be honored to have many MAS activists from the US and Canada sharing their understanding and experience in the fields of collective Islamic work and activism. Be prepared to emerge from this camp with a deeper understanding of the mission of Islam, a new love for worship, and a renewed commitment to the cause of Islam. Goals of the Camp: ?Ilm (Knowledge) Goals: ?Ilm that is to be applied. ?Ilm that helps us to have more Taqwa and fear of Allah SWT. ?Ilm that develops the right framework for a Muslim. Spiritual Goals: Realize the importance of spiritual development. Awaken our hearts, minds, and spirit and strengthen them. Know Allah SWT and love him and have His presence in our lives and allow that to move us to be better Muslims.
