I always use to look forward to those centre page posters. The last I heard of Trends (along the grapevine, I might add) was that they’re going to start publishing again very soon. When exactly I have no idea. I think they’re in the process of re-organising the publishing Team.

Have you heard of the VOICES magazine? It’s a new flashy magazine which is similar to Trends aimed at the Muslim youth, but more specifically those that are far from Islam. They publish on a thematic basis and try to address the issues concerning the youth in detail. Alhamdulillah it’s very good because the language and style of writing used is that which youngsters can relate to. The cover issues such as Gangster Culture, Drugs, Peer pressure and influence, Education, Health etc.

As the magazine is very impressive, I would recommend everyone to get a copy and read it. Even though it might not be aimed at you, it serves as a very good reminder and gives you tips for da’wah. I know two people working in the editorial team. Unfortunately they don’t have a website set up yet. But you can get more details by emailing the editor. Her email address is: editor_voices@email.com

p.s. The latest issue, which is about “Relationships: everything you wanted but dared never ask”, features an excellent article by Jannah. Have you seen it in print Jannah?
