AOA, I know Islam prohibits saying and reading poetry that has explicit sex contents. I was wondering what Islam says about saying or reading romantic poetry? Desi

Ok here is what I understand. If not convince, it might provoke some replies  :-X I don't think anyone would disagree that it is perfectly legitimate for one to be romantic to his/her spouse and read romantic poetry to him/her. It would be interesting contradiction to hold that saying such a poetry is prohibited but reading it (once written) to spouse is ok. So my vote goes in favor, permissibility of such poetry. Desi
