Bush doctrine vs spirit of Islam

The stratagem was nicely planned and brilliantly executed.

The trap was meticulously set and the Muslim Ummah, a house divided against
                    itself, just walked into it.

We helped our sworn enemies to push us into the pitfall and now we are
entangled in the swamp up to our necks.

The plotters had minutely studied the psychology of the accusers and the
                    suspects.

Reactions and repercussions were weighed in advance and everything went
amazingly according to the plan chalked out by the perpetrator of this gory crime
                    against humanity.

So far, everything is going exactly the way it was envisaged.

So much confusion has been stirred up as a consequence that those real
culprits of the attack on the WTC and Pentagon will perhaps remain untracked
                    forever.

Bush, Powell, Rumsfeld and associates appeared to be anxiously waiting to
seize such an eventuality to get hold of Osama and Al-Qaeda.

For the electronic media in the West, it was a God-given opportunity for
                    Islam-bashing.

CNN, BBC, FOX News, ABC, NBC, etc, were putting in overtime to malign and
                    discredit Muslims.

Every Muslim with a beard or a particular type of dress was branded as a
potential terrorist who deserved to be lynched.

India, Israel and Russia took it as a divine blessing to promote their respective
anti-Muslim agendas and settle scores with the freedom movements in the
                    territories under their illegal occupation.

Without pondering for a while and without reading between the lines, the
leaderless Muslim Ummah assumed the responsibility to make loud noises that
the underlying causes behind the attacks should be considered and addressed,
admitting by implication that the crime was committed by Muslims.

This was foolish and utterly stupid.

I simply cannot imagine why our leaders, intellectuals and intelligentsia
concluded that it was the handwork of Muslims only and nobody else be
entertained by the very quarters that are out to exterminate the Muslims from the
face of the earth? They should have rejected the unsubstantiated allegations
outright for the simple reason that the whole Muslim world put together does not
have the capability, resources and even courage to launch an attack of this
                    magnitude.

Out of 19 alleged hijackers, 15 have been identified as Saudi Arabian nationals.

Saudi Arabia is a welfare state and takes care of its citizens from cradle to grave
                    for all their necessities.

Why should the well-off youth from this country resort to such extreme steps?
They may be expected to sympathize with their Muslim brothers in distress but
why will they become part of such a senseless mission? Saudis as well as the
whole world knows that there is no dearth of committed and fearless fighters in
the Muslim world and Saudi youth is not needed for such desperate operations.

Saudis may support their Muslim brothers in need morally and financially.

That is far more important than their direct involvement in a clandestine
                    expedition.

Saudi Arabian interior minister prince Naif Bin Abdul Aziz had to declare in the
end, though belatedly, that the alleged involvement of Saudi nationals in the
                    attacks is a fabrication.

The same is true for the nationals from the United Arab Emirates who, according
to the US, were allegedly involved in the attacks.

Just because a few Muslims happened to be aboard the ill-fated planes is no
proof that they hijacked and smashed the planes onto the targets.

The gross discrepancies in evidence gathered so far, such as the inclusion of
the names as suspects in the passenger list of persons who have either already
died or were not even in the US, renders the entire evidence extremely
                    suspicious.

The emergency meeting of OIC foreign ministers in Doha, Qatar in the wake of
the events of September 11, its deliberations and final communiqué were utterly
                    disappointing.

It came out with a strong condemnation of terrorism just to appease America
and the West, but was silent on the defence of the Muslim Ummah.

The OIC should have categorically demanded credible and conclusive proof of
                    the involvement of Muslims.

It should have cautioned America and the West against indiscriminately
implicating Islam and Muslims in terrorist activities.

Also it should have come out strongly in defence of Muslim freedom struggles in
                    Kashmir, Palestine, Chechnya and elsewhere.

It should have strongly protested against and resented the hostile and
provocative anti-Islam propaganda in the Western, Zionist and Indian media.

The conference was marred by internal differences and nothing materially
beneficial for the Ummah came out of it.

If OIC cannot defend the rights of Muslims, it should disband itself.

Surely Muslims do not need this impotent and hapless body to represent them
                    on an international level.

The Bush doctrine has set a very dangerous precedent in the international
arena, which is fraught with grave risks for world peace.

Not only has it legitimized state terrorism of tyrants, usurpers and aggressors, it
has also presented a lethal weapon to the Nazis of the modern era.

It has provided carte blanche to the warmongers in India and Israel.

The results are now abundantly clear.

Ariel Sharon the Zionist terrorist has unleashed a brutal onslaught on the
                    Palestinians.

Innocent civilians have become victims of targeted bombing and their homes
have been razed to the ground.

All to exercise the right of self-defence in consonance with the Bush doctrine.

The self-proclaimed civilized world continues to pat the back of Zionist terrorists
                    in appreciation.

In India, the Vajpayee-Advani gang of RSS fame, after committing the worst kind
of brutalities before which the Nazi crimes will pale, is now girding up to invade
Pakistan in self-defence, in accordance with the Bush doctrine.

If as a consequence tomorrow a nuclear holocaust takes place in the South
Asian subcontinent, who will take the blame? A powerful neighbour can always
stage a crime of a terrorist attack like the one staged in Delhi to get hold of an
excuse to attack and punish a weak neighbour for not toeing its line.

The Taliban administration in Afghanistan has been dismantled and the US and
its allies have installed in Kabul a new administration of their liking.

Osama has disappeared from the scene, probably bombed to death in Tora
Bora heights or has migrated into desolation.

In this background, today these observations may well appear to be immaterial,
                    rather irrelevant.

However, the record has to be set straight for the future, which possibly may help
                    in damage control.

We also have the right to state our viewpoint.

I firmly believe that whatever has happened on September 11 in New York and
Washington was not done by any Muslim, Osama and Al-Qaeda included.

No individual group, government or intelligence agency in the entire Muslim
world had the capability to carry out such well-planned and well-coordinated
                    attacks.

Islam and Muslims have simply been made scapegoats to pursue an
                    anti-Muslim and anti-Islam agenda.

Next we must consider the following questions that ceaselessly intrigue thinking
minds and try to find answers to them.

Who had the capability to wage such attacks with precision and accuracy? Who
had the expertise and experience in this field? Who has benefited from these
attacks? Who has suffered most as a consequence of these attacks? Before
dwelling any further let me state categorically that I am a humble friend and great
                    fan of America.

At the same time let me also emphasize that a true friend alerts his friend
against his mistakes so that he may take corrective action to eliminate his
                    shortcomings.

One who pats the back of a friend when he is doing something utterly wrong is in
                    fact his worst enemy.
