| [slm] Here is the tafseer of Surat-ul Masad. [wlm] Betul Tafseer Ibn Katheer The Prophet (sallallahu alyhi wasalam) ascended a hill in Makkah and began shouting {yaSabaha! yaSabaha!} which was an expression to call the people. When people gathered, he addressed them as follows, "If I say that your enemy is coming to attack you, would you believe me?" They all said, "Yes, of course." Then he (sallallahu alayhi wasalam) said, "Listen! I am warning you of a severe punishment from Allah." Upon this Abu Lahab said, "May you perish. For this alone did you call us?" This occasioned the revelation of this Surah. [Al-Bukhari] |
