Scared by Its Own Reflection

As Salamu Alaykum,

I have a real strong inclination to believe that Sheikh Usama escaped into Pakistan, and the U.S. knows it.  Why would this not be speculated about at greater length?  Why aren't the whining, hate-mongering media hounds of the Western world pursuing this?  The U.S. have literally bombed every corner of Afghanistan that is and isn't controlled by the Northern Defiance, just to keep the cameras off Pakistan it seems.

Have the media moghuls received word from the NSA or Pentagon to clam up on making their snide remarks about this possibility? Probably.  But what must frighten the U.S. the most about this prospect(aside from nukes), is that Musharaf had been making moves before the attacks on American centers of riba and Muslim-slayers occurred, to give at least a superficial plan for democratic reforms.  Now with crack downs on militant factions in Pakistan, and acquiescing to the U.S.'s request to allow troop movement and cooperation between intelligence agencies, Musharaf is giving every impression that there is no reason to suspect that Sheikh Usama could subsist in Pakistan, and at most has just passed through on the way to safe haven elsewhere.

With Pakistan mirroring the U.S. in its stand against 'terrorism', cracking down on 'extremist' Islamic groups, committing troops to border control assignments, freezing mujahidin assets, vowing to defend its national interests with all force necessary, etc., the U.S. can do little more without risking the direct cooperation of Pakistan, and the backing of the rest of the coaltion members.

I think that it is quite ironic that a 'Muslim' nations imitating the U.S. (however superficially), has granted it perhaps the safest status it could possibly have achieved out of the current situation.  Only problem is that Americans rarely tire of looking at themselves in the mirror, and Pakistan may have to keep the pose for sometime.
