Assalaamu-alaikum Cara

Glad to hear your husbands coming home!!!

I wanted to ask something, you've been here, on these boards for a few weeks now, around us muslims, most of which would probably be labelled as fundamentalists. So after mixing with us, whats your opinion of muslims now? Has it changed since you started using these boards? Has your opinion of us improved or got worse?

And what would your views of muslims be if you hadnt visited the Jannah boards?

Wasalaam

:) My goodness, well my opinion hasn't changed at all. I still feel the same way about Muslims as I did before.

If you remember in that past post when we had that discussion a while back. but I don't know how to do the ......here..... thing for you to click on.

Muslims are no different than any other group in this way..... there are very kind ones, in different ones and fanatical ones just like in any other culture or religon.

My other opinins have not changed yet either. I still think Muslims are much more respectful and reverent of God/Allah.

I have grown to have fond feelings (as one would of family) for all of you out here. I'm impressed. I have, threw posts learned about each of your individual personalities. You all have welcomed me and chatted with me and ;-D debated with me. Prior to coming to these boards I never felt threatened or uncomfortable in regards to Muslims. I'm pretty accepting of all. Until given a reason to feel otherwise. Then even if I have a reason it is for that individual not his/her whole religon, culture or race.

Tell you what, where my husband is he cannot access web sites and I hope you all don't mind but I wanted him to know what I had been doing while he was gone and the people I met. I copied and pasted a few threads and emailed them to him.

His reaction..... he said..."It's like you are one of them!" (Meaning he was impressed how I was accepted and welcomed)  He also said he knows how I am, accepting no matter the persons culture, race, etc. I think he was real impressed how you all just took me in, warm and welcoming. He also made mention how intriged he was with the conversations. I hope non of you minded my doing that, he could of read them himself at anytime had he been able to access the site from where he is. But you all made a wonderful impression on him. He knows that even if someone out here doesn't agree, they are still your friend after. Did you ever see what I said in an earlier post? I will find it and post the quote.

Does this answer your question?

<Does this answer your question>

Yes!!!

So what would you like to see different in the muslims, i.e how could the muslims improve themselves in the eys of a non-muslim, as in what is it about us which really turns the non-muslims against us?
