Salaam.

Musharraf is a munaafiq, a coward and the ultimate traitor for islaam. His munaafiq army have arrested and handed over the Mujaahideen to the Infidel Americans. His army have allowed the kaafirs to murder 10'000 afghans. His army has supported and helped, and cooperated fully with the kaafirs.

Musharraf the Munaafiq has arressted those fighitng the jihad, and has declared war on the Mujaahideen in his speech. May Allah punish him, and all those munaafiqs who support him.

Inshallah India is about to teach Pakistan a brutal lesson. May Allah protect those innocent pakistani's who have sidid with the mujaahids and the muslims. May Allah wreck havoc amongst those who have bent over to and bowed to the kaafirs.

India is gona give that munaafiq pakistan army its present, one which is no doubt gona be backed by the US!

The Munaafiqs in paksistan support musharraf, what cowards!

Your nation bowed down to the USA and helped them kill thousands of muslims. Allah never lets such people go unpunished on this earth. Musharraf has disgraced pakistan worse then anyone could have ever imagined. However, inshallah, he will be punished severely for it.

Salaam Eleanour

I meant your nation, as in those pakistani's who have sided with mushraf in this by supporting his decisions, NOT all of pakistan, only those who have disgraced islaam.

I watched the speech yesterday, and it made my blood boil. He basically said

"we are against islaam, and the mujaahideen, we are against the teaching of the quran, and we have declared war on the mujaahideen"

However when i wathced a clip of it today morning, i laughed, laughed at how pathetically he was sucking up to the US and saying stuff to keep them happy, the way he was trying so hard to please the kaafir west!

Inshallah this is an oppurtunity for the Pakistani proper muslims to launch an islaamic revolution and get rid the liberals and western sympathisers, and islaam haters!

And how many innocent muslims would be caught up and killed in such a revolution ?

Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf, in a televised address to the nation, has called for a peaceful end to the dispute over Kashmir and for a renewed spirit of national unity.
Here are some of the highlights from his speech:

I want to send a message to (Indian) Prime Minister (Atal Behari) Vajpayee - first as the president of Pakistan.

If you wish to normalise relations between India and Pakistan and within this region, if you wish to bring harmony, then the Kashmiri dispute must be resolved through peaceful dialogue in accordance with the wishes of the people of Kashmir.

We have been taking measures against terrorism from the beginning, not because of any outside pressure

Now a message as the commander of the armed forces of Pakistan.

The armed forces of Pakistan are fully deployed and ready to face a challenge with the last drop of their blood. Please do not try to cross the border in any part - we will resist with all of our might.

Kashmir runs in our blood. No Pakistani can afford to sever links with Kashmir...

We will continue to extend our moral, political and diplomatic support to Kashmiris. We will never budge from our principle stand on Kashmir.

Kashmir has to be resolved through dialogue in accordance with the wishes of the people of Pakistan and in accordance with the UN resolutions.

Support for US

No organisations will be able to carry out terrorism on the pretext of Kashmir.

Whoever is involved with such acts in the future will be dealt with strongly whether they come from inside or outside the country.

We have been taking measures against terrorism from the beginning, not because of any outside pressure.

We were already carrying out these measures when a terrorist attack was carried out in America on 11 September.

After 11 September we joined the international coalition against terrorism and I am delighted that the majority of Pakistani people supported this decision.

I however regret that some religious extremist groups resented this decision.

I further regret that this opposition was not based on religious principles, but based on personal interests and party interests.

Religious extremists

The majority of religious scholars are very enlightened people, but the extremists who are carrying out these protests think they are the sole custodians of Islam.

They looked at the Taleban as if they were the renaissance of Islam and at those who were against the Taleban as if they were, God forbid, not Muslims.

But these people have no respect for human rights... and the Pakistani people were let down by these so-called religious scholars.

Violence and law

Violence and terrorism have been going on for years and we are weary and sick of this Kalashnikov culture... The day of reckoning has come.

Pakistan has become a soft state where law means little, if anything.

Rebuilding Pakistan

First we have to rid ourselves of hatred, of religious intolerance. We have to rebuild and realise that a mind cannot be opened by oppression...

You cannot change hearts and minds through force.

This soil, this land is ours - wherever we go out of this land we will not belong. We need to learn to serve our country, not to go out of this country.

Message to international community

I want to address the international community, especially the United States.

As I have said before, Pakistan rejects terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.

We have to live as brothers and sisters; we have to become an example for the Islamic world

Pakistan will not allow its territory to be used for any terrorist activity anywhere in the world.

Now, you must play an active role in solving the Kashmir dispute for the sake of lasting peace and harmony in the region... the Kashmiri people expect you to ask India to bring an end to state terrorism and human rights abuses.

Appeal to the nation

My brothers and sisters, Pakistan is an Islamic republic where 98% of the population is Muslim.

We have to live as brothers and sisters; we have to become an example for the Islamic world. We have to rise and ascend and become a responsible and exemplary member of the international community.

We have the power to face external threats, but the danger eating us comes from within... If we wish to glorify Islam we have to make a country strong.

The way forward is not through a confrontationist policy, not through fighting with ourselves, but through enlightenment.

I appeal to my Pakistan to rise. To banish intolerance and hatred from ourselves and establish a climate of equality and brotherhood.

As Salamu Alaykum,

What is the deal with doting on unknown people with the term 'innocent'?  Its just as bad as labeling everyone 'guilty.'

I did not hear the speech.  Anyone care to post the salient points of it?  I am really not interested to to hear anything this guy has to say anymore; he has sold out his people and other Muslims for the benefit of maintaining his rule, and has put this all under the guise of what's best for Pakistan.

Without having listened to it, and gaging from some of the responses, it seems to be in line with what he has been doing lately, cracking down on the mujahidin funds, sucking up to the American interests, backing down from confrontation with India, etc.  Pakistan like other Muslim majority countries is due for some mustache-having, fasiq ruling, purges.

AWW,

May Allah make it easy on the shaheed's of Afghanistan. Listening to a speech like this makes you shiver man.

If the Taliban were not the renaissance of Islam, then who will the new flag bearers be, Mr Musharraf ?? . Who will denounce, all forms of evil, alcohol, adultery, interest, gambling, bribes, punishing the weak and letting the powerfull off, government corruption, brewerys, drugs, homosexuality, please Mr Musharaff do tell us will you banish all of these evils. And above all will you have a beard that is as close resemblence to the prophet saws and wear a topi or ammamah, or will you keep a moustache a trait of the munafiq's.
