| Salaam everyone, I'm sure I read somewhere that there was a specific dua that should/could be read at the start or end of meetings. I can't for the life of me remember what the dua is or where I saw it...I was wondering if any of you guys know it? If so, could I please have the arabic and the english translation? Also, if possible could I have this ASAP, I need it for a meeting tomorrow evening. Thanks, Sabiha |

| Assalaamu alaikum wa rahmatullah To end meetings, the Prophet (saws) used to say: "Subhanaka Allahumina wa bihamdika ash hadu an la ilaha illa ant. Istaghfiruka wa atubu ilaiyk." 'Glory be to you, O Allah, and all Praise. I bear witness that there is no God except You, I seek Your forgiveness and turn and repent unto You. Ameen.' | Assalamu alaikum.... Ive always seen in our halaqas...and any sessions that we've had with the sheikh...we would end with Surat al asr...this again is one of many ways to end off... wasalaamu alaikum Sohail |

| assalaamu alaikum I thought it was the khutbatul haajah to start off with and the glorification written by sister Sofia above to finish off with. Khutbatul-haajah is the one that starts with:innal-humdulillah, nahmaduhu wa nasta`eenuhu wa nastaghfiruhu... Kashif Wa Salaam |

| Assalaamu alaikum, Before starting work related meetings, I like the following dua. O my Lord! expand me my breast; Ease my task for me; And remove the impediment from my speech,So they may understand what I say. This is the dua of Musa alayhis salaam. For the Arabic, check Soorah Taha ayaat 25-28 (20:25-28). Wasalaam. |

| assalaamu alaikum It is: Innal-humdulillah nahmaduhu wa nasta'eenuhu wa nastaghfiruhu, wa na`oothu billahi min shuroori anfusina wa min sayyi-aati a`maalina, man-yahdihillahu falaa muDilla-lahu, wa man-yuDlil falaa haadiya lahu wa ash-hadu an-la ilaha il-Allah wah-dahu la-shareeka lahu, wa ash-hadu anna Muhammadan `abduhu wa rasuluhu. Amma ba'd. [Verily All praise and thanks are for Allah. We praise him, seek His aid and His Forgiveness, and we seek refuge from the evil of our own souls and the evil of our actions whomever Allah guides, none can misguide and whoever Allah leaves to stray none can guide and i bear witness that there is none worthy of worship except Allah - without any partner, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
