Asalaamu alaikum to my Jannah.org family!

I haven’t posted for a while because I had been overseas and then returned to start a new job in a new place so things have been very unsettled.

While I was overseas I spent a lot of time with family- my brother and sister n law, my nephew, my uncles, my aunties and the multitudes of cousins.  Everyone was so good to me.  They really looked after me, fed me LOTS, they really went out of their way for me and made time for me.  Just thinking about the wonderful family I’ve been blessed with, I feel truly spoilt.  On my last day in Fiji I had tears of gratitude running down my cheeks as I was making dua.

I’m thankful to Allah SWT for my family that I was born into, as well as become part of- here at Jannah.org.

So anyway here are my questions- have you ever been so grateful for something that it made you cry? Perhaps you can’t think of something that made you cry so what have you been grateful for lately?? Please share.

Wasalaam,
Ahmed

ps.  hey I've been missing out on these radio programmes!! but I'm also grateful for the saved real audio files...I gotta check em out sometime :P

What a wonderful idea :) to make us think about things for which we are or at least SHOULD be greatful :)

I am grateful for all that i have in my life.  Everything from my kids, hubby, family to the roof on my head and the food that we are blessed with, Alhumdulillah.

I am even gratefull for all the experiences in my life...ALL of them...it is what makes us grow as individuals :), Alhumdulillah.

And yes, these do bring tears to my eyes, because there are SO MANY out there that exist without these blessings which we sometimes take for granted.

:-) Welcome Back Ahmed :-)
Inshaallah you've settled in and May Allah ease your affairs (Amin)

I am grateful for all that Allah has bestowed. I am grateful for the sense of security, the peace that comes from having an *awesome* family support, friends,my health, shelter, food, etc etc.
I am grateful for life itself to bear witness to all the beauty of Allah's creation. My experiences the ups and downs that constantly define and redefine my whole being. I am grateful for the sweetness of faith and struggles of being a Muslimah :-)
I am grateful for sooooo many things, but I could take an eternity and still not be able to capture a fraction of Allah's many bounties hidden and manifest bestowed upon us...

Maliha :-)

Subhaan'allah this is an excellent idea...many times we say to ourselves I wish I had this, I wish I had that, why cant my life be like this or that...not really thinking about our life, not taking the time and reflecting on our own lives, how beautiful it is....subhaan'allah, how Allah(swt)gave us these different lives for a reason, there is so much hikmah behind it...but we to often look at the lives of others and wish we had theirs....
When I think about my life, and how Allah(swt)fashioned my life, I cry because its sooo beautiful, subhaan'allah...everything happens for a reason, the good and the bad...why I went to that school, why I grew up in washington hts, why I become Muslim , the family that I have subhaan'allah...Im sooo grateful for the life that I have, even though at times I get frustrated, but I think thats the beauty behind it, because when I get frustrated that makes me THINK about how grateful I should be...so its a blessing from Allah(swt)
You know how often times u hear "If u can live the life of someone else, who would it be or if u can change something in your life what would it be or what do u regret in your life" I've come to the realization that I wouldn't change my life, only if its to bring me closer to Alla(swt) but even I wouldnt want to change it because this life right here is showing me how to get closer to Allah...all these burdens/test/happy moments were designed by Allah just for me, so why would I regret the gifts of Allah gave me, how can I???

woooo,ok....one thing that I would like to be grateful for, that I would like to share with u all (as though I didnt share enough with you)...but anyways, is my relationship with one muslimah, subhaan'allah, I can not tell u how thankful I am for having this sister in my life...You know someone is your friend and loves you for the sake of Allah, when they help you sooo much with your deen...I mean this sista knows me and tells me "ummm, no thats not a good  idea", she gives me that look "u know better" I mean subhaan'allah, every time we are together, we are constantly trying to bring ouselves closer to Allah---what are things that we need to do...its not about what I need to do, but what WE need to do...always looking out for one another....the fact that she can give me a smackdown and still give me a smile, is beautiful...subhaan'allah , May Allah reward her for a efforts, make her strong in her iman and grant her infinite blessings,ameen----I love u ma, fisabillah...... I pray that u all find someone who helps u in your daily mujahida....

Peace

AWW,
have you ever been so grateful for something that it made you cry?
Allah, each time, every time. Sometimes I can't wait to see Allah. When the heart is pounding with fear and hope, the tears are rolling and your there with your hands raised, your heart open, wishing for the love and pleasure of Allah to enter. It makes me cry to know the creator yet I am so sinful.
Allah is all we need, and everything we ever wanted.

assalaamu alaikum

This isn't exactly answering the question, but every now and again when i think about the favour of Allah that he made me a Muslim, i'm almost at the point of choking just thinking of the gravity of this tremendous favour. I utterly don't know what to do or say to repay Allah for this huge kindness. Its very humbling.

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullah
There are a few things for which I'm so grateful that they bring me to tears sometimes.
I'm very very very grateful to Allah Subhanau wa Ta'ala for having guided me to love His religion.  I don't know what would have happened to me if He hadn't.  I'd be miserable.  I'm SO grateful that He made me want to please Him.
I'm very grateful to Allah for my parents who tried very hard to give me and my sister a very good life.  I mean they tried hard!  And succeeded al hamdu lillah. I'm sure I broke my father's heart many times, but al hamdu lillah for them. (OK I have tears in my eyes now)
I'm very grateful to have my husband.  Sometimes I just look at him and wonder what I did to deserve such a wonderful man al hamdu lillah.  Wallahi I don't know how I deserve him.
And I'm also very grateful to have all of you in my life because I don't have very many real life friends who love Allah around me.  Al hamdu lillah for the two or three that I do have though :-)

as salaamu alaykum wa rahmatAllah,

I'm close to tears here meself :)

One of the many things that Allah has truly *blessed* me with - but that I have not done justice to - is a very dear friend of mine.  She is my companion on this journey of mujahada - someone I can turn to for support, confide in, seek advice from, share reflections with, be serious with, be not so serious with :)

I love her as anyone could truly love her sister :)  She means more to me than she could ever know :)

I love you, truly, fisabilillah.. you know who you are :)

wasalaamu alaykum wa rahmatAllah.

After every salat, I thank Allah(swt) for he has given me a house, food and clothes. But most importantly I thank Him for guiding me to the straight path, otherwise I'd be headed towards infinite pain and suffering.

If I were to list all the things I am grateful for it would take 10 pages of posts. But I'll not do that to you all :)

I've been through so much in my life, some I didn't ask for and some I brought upon myself. God/Allah has blessed me so much and continuously even though I haven't deserved it. When I see Muslims when speaking of God/Allah and saying all Merciful I know what it means.

#1) I am most grateful and at times while praying have actually been in tears when I pray and remember his Mercy and Love.

#2) I am so grateful and it also brings tears to my eyes that I have been blessed with my Husband. He is such a wonderful man. He is not only my husband but my very best friend. I have never been Loved liked this before. (never)   M.F says she wonders what she did to deserve such a man, I sure know that feeling.  :)

#3) I am grateful for two wonderful, healthy sons and two beautiful daughter-in-laws who I can actually see Love my sons. The Mom's out there would understand this most. Isn't it wonderful when you can actually see in their eyes the Love your daughter or son-in law has for your adult child?

#4) I am in awww and truly grateful for this Medina family. Out of all the web sites and pc places to go I was lead here. I was welcomed with open arms and hearts and I confess typing about it actually just brought tears to my eyes. I don't know how Muslims feel about such things but I truly believe things happen cause they are meant to be not by chance. Again out of all the Isamic sites I was lead to this one. WHAT A BLESSING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I could go on and on but I'll stop here except for this one last thing I wish to say,
God/Allah is truly all merciful and wonderful and even thought those are some very strong words they somehow don't seem to do justice for our wonderful creator do they?
