slm What do you think of this? A couple of years ago we did this in a much smaller scale- made a kaba out of card board paper- styrofoam jumats- paper mache mountains,,,etc... for the kids to have a hands on activity and see what hajj is like. As usual- they (executive committe) did not like it and had it taken down. No- no one ever told me why or how come. I liked it and it taught the kids alot- Is this wrong? |

Assalamualaikum, I would have to check with the Tabung Haji (the organization that handles hajj in malaysia) on that because I know at one time, there were complaints regarding this matter and I am not sure as to what is the current practise now. But I'll check it out first. |

AA yeah, at my daughter's Islamic school, they do this every year at Hajj time, they call it a "mini Hajj", really great for putting the spirit of Hajj in the kids. Kathy, your exec. committee sounds a lot like ours and, for that matter, most of the ones in the US. |
