| AWW, No I haven't gone insane, but I'm reaching out to the community here. Two weeks ago or around that time, my friend calls me on the moby and says that if you look at the moon you'll see the name of the last prophet(peace be upon him) of Allah. I tried at that time to look with my naked eyes yet I couldn't make it out. I even recorded the event as well on my camcorder, yet no avail. Now its been two weeks and today my aunt from India phones me mum and assures her that around two weeks ago she witnessed the moon incident taking place. During that time I did a bit of research and I've found that people have seen it in Africa, India, the UK(Blackburn, Batley and Dewsbury). If there is anyone who also saw the moon around that time and has a picture or a story in the press, I'd really appreciate it. I'll pay for any photocopies. Salaams, Hanif |

| Asalaam o'alaikum, I thought you were supposed to be able to see 'Allah' on it, not the name of the Prophet (PBUH)? We got a similar phone call from my parents, it was around 11.30pm on New Years day. (Their neighbours knocked on the door to tell them about it). I tried looking but couldn't make it out in full, basically the moon was very bright that night, (plus it was bitterly cold), and every time I tried to look at it my eyes kept watering. My husband said he could kind of make out the shape of 'Allah' written in arabic, sloping sideways across one side of the moon. My mum said that a lot of people phoned in to the local asian radio station, (Radio Leicester), the next day to say that they had seen it. If anyone has any photos of it, I would be interested in seeing them too... Wasalaam, Sabiha |

| [slm] Well I have heard about this aswell over here in London I was at a friend's party and the kids were playing in the attic and they kept telling us that we saw ALLAH and MOHAMMED s.a.w. written on the moon. I thought it was just the kids making up stories so I didnt pay much attention-------------until the next morning when every one was talking about it and reports have been heard all over the globe. Personally, I think we muslims in general are willing to believe anything as long as it affirms our faith in anyway possible. I think this is what gives rise to so many hoaxes and myths. Anyways if this report is true then it is so sad that we are still not praying namaz and still following our NAFS so blindly. Reminds me of the time when Quraish would not believe even after they witnessed SHAQ UL QAMAR (THE PROPHET PBUH HALVING THE MOON WITH THE GESTURE OF HIS FINGER). What happened to this umma? BUSHRA |

| asalamu alaikum, That's true what the sister has just said, Often our eager faith makes us attempt to see things and almost beg a sighting, yet I am not saying this didn't happen, because after all, Allah SWT is the Lord of all Worlds, He can put His name up or his prophet's name (SAW) if he wants to... Anyhow, people from different faiths spot different things on the moon. Its cool to see Allah SWT written in a tomato and a bean. asalamu alaikum. abdullah,. |

| salam, its in fish too! my younger brother used to recieve animal cards from the National Geographic World magazine, and they sent him a card on the angel fish, apparently the fishes scales and the diefferent colors of the fish spell out Allah(SWT) on its skin, im thinking this is accurate since NGW publized it and they are a respectable magazine. I was checking out another magazine and they just happened to have an angel fish on their, so curious i kept trying to see Allah(SWT)'s name, and you can see if you turn your head to a slight angle! The human mind is very complex. I firmly believe that if i stare long and hard at this 3 meter high plant in my office, I will be able to find some inscriptions too! | Salaams yeh, it's kind of hard to trust such figures...like the coca-cola thingy where they said if you look at it upside down or backwards or something, it says in arabic "la makkah, la rasool" or something like that! i mean, it could have been true, but i don't know...weird stuff, i tell ya BUT...all these naturalistic things where they see inscribings, they might be true,because maybe it's parf of the "truth" and the beauty of islam, where Allah's creations have inscribings in them...i don't know, i'm not agreeing or disagreeing, but this could be an option :) anywho, if you could send me the pic as well, that would be wonderful...my email is in my profile...err, i think it is! hehe :) i rarely check that email account, like once in a blue moon, but i'll check it periodically for the pic...and take your time sending it, it doesn't matter when i get it...thanks alot though :) you're really sweet ;) okee, take care peeps Wasalaams |

| Salam, This is interesting...but i agree with Abdullah, things like this are so easily misconstrued or imputed. I would also be careful about using this as a dawah tool or something to prove the truth of Islam, as missionaries say for some reason that 'Allah' is the god of the moon, may He be exalted from that. I think the miracle is not whats written on the moon, but the moon itself, what a beautiful creation. Sometimes we worship Allah with our brains, and not with our hearts. There's a Persian tale that tells of a king who found a secret treasure scroll. It said "Go to such and such a place, shoot an arrow, and dig where the arrow falls. You'll find a treasure there." So the king went there, shot his arrow, and dug a huge hole. Nothing. So he tried again and again, shooting arrows and digging holes, finding nothing each time. Eventually he gave up. A young boy came along and found the note. As instructed, he went to the place, shot an arrow, dug a hole, and immediately found the treasure. The first, the king, in all his arrogance and prowess, shot each arrow farther and farther, thinking that success would come if he used his power and might. The second, the humble young boy, knew the map was true, had faith, and did as the directions said. His arrow flew a very short distance, but that was all it took to find the treasure. In all of our intelligence and strength, we may try to prove the truth and end up with nothing in our hands. But one who humbly follows the path of God may end up drowning in miracles. |
