Since good 'ol Iron Mike is back in the news again after that rumble with Lewis, I'm curious what would you lot say to him (a few passing words) if you could met him for a few secs....?

Be careful what you say though ;-D

Salaam!

If i met tyson, i would come heavily armed with a BIG plate of Fried Chips or some other food, just in case he's feeling a bit peckish!

What i would ask him is, why does he continue to take part in publicity stunts which make him out to be a thug? Dont he have a brain (i wouldnt say THAT to him)!

It was pretty obvious that the incident early in the week was a stunt, and planned! If you watch closely, Tyson was about 1 metre from Lewis' bodyguard and threw a punch which delibrately missed lewis guard, by a mile!!! Now world class punchers simply do not miss from thier. Also after tyson threw his punch, lewis delibrately threw two punches OVER tysons head!!! Now why would two of the worlds best punchers be missing such easy shots?

It was a publicity stunt, but one which tyson dont need. Also his comments after it were sick, even more so coming from a muslim. I love him as a fighter, but as a person, he is fast loosing my sympathy (for the comments, not for the phony brawl)!

Seriously, those comments were way way out of line...He just exceeded all bounds.  I feel bad for the brother because it's obvious he doesn't have good people around him.  What kind of advisor/trainer/manager etc lets his charge get on a microphone and speak evil things like that live on television?
I actually met him once, he came to a Masjid here for Jumuah...you do not want to catch a fist from that brother.  We saw him in a red Ferrari and went and gave him salaam, when he got out all I saw was two huge tree trunks for arms...and he's short!
Well if I actually had a chance to sit down and talk to him I would tell him to get rid of these people and turn to Allah for guidance...and I hope he knocks Lennox out :)

Assalaamu-alaikum

<what exactly did he say>

Se7en, thier is no way you would allow us to post what he said! It would be immediatly removed!

But basically someone in the audience shouted out that tyson should be sent to a mental home or something.

Tyson responded with a barrage of sexual perverse comments, even threatining, along the tlines of, to "do the guy from behind, so much that this guy would fall in love with tyson" (that is toned down about 1 million times from what he actually said)!

I'll Post a link, check this out:

asalamu alaikum,

if he is a muslim, shouldn't we  be trying to cover up his faults?

he is always around such a nasty and aggressive environment that has NO

NO good coming out of it.  Boxing I believe is a complete waste of time.  The entire organization(s) are immoral, but we shouldn't treat him special. asalamu alaikum. abdullah,.

I love boxing. People often say the guys around tyson are what amakes him do what he does. Sorry but i dont buy that. Tyson is a 34 yera old fully grown male, he has lived through life and been through more than any off us could ever imagine. He knows exactly what he is doing. If you actually read up on the guys around him, they aint bad at all. Some work as anti-drugs campaignger, most are muslims. The old guys he had, the real bad guys, he got rid of them 3 years ago.

He does what he does through his own free will. Maybe he is mentally unstable.

Theres nothing wrong with boxing itself. Its a great sport and the immoralness we associate it with comes with all sports whether its gambling or nudity with models and cheerleaders.

Tyson has always had a temper and is prone to violence, thats never been a secret. Throw in the $$$$$$'s and we have the "I can do anything I want" type attitude. Its a dangerous combination.  However there are street fights, mass brawls and obscenity going on in almost every street corner in the world with people biting each others ears, noses, legs etc but we don't hear of it. The only reason Tyson's antics are blown out of proportion is because hes in the public eye. And remember Tyson has never not got involved in gang warfare and murder, and he could be far far worse but hes kept his life private and in check to an extent. We should give him credit for that.

I hope he breaks Lewis in half :)

Assalaamu-alaikum#

Something cannot be right, because i totally agree with explorer!!!

Your right, he could have been far far worse, he could be a murderer, but i aint ever seen or heard of him killing anyone!

Also your right, biting, eye gouging etc are part of everyday street life, it happens in almost every street fight, thousands of times a day.

The only reason tyson is made out to be evil is because he is in the public eye, and stands upto those people (racists) who always try and put him down, and they cannot tolerate it, so strive to make poeple hate Tyson, which tyson makes pretty easy.

However being in the public eye, means he should have more control over himself, and keep his cool.

Lennox is gona get KO'd BIG TIME!!! If you actually watch that riot again, as tyson moved forward, lewis moved away, like he panicked and got scared as tyson came at him!!!

Lets also not forget that since Tyson is muslim it gives the media more impetus to attack him. Remember before the first Holyfield-Tyson fight, the media dubbed it the Preacher vs the Devil and Good vs Evil, very much giving a christin vs muslim concoction.
