| Salaams All how you guys doing? inshaAllah all is well...so i've actually been thinking about this for a while now and then after reading Saleema's post, i decided i need to take the necessary measures, hehe! i'm sure you're wondering now, "what are these necessary measures?" and if you weren't wondering, it's all good ;) well........i am getting addicted here and although i wouldn't mind being an addict, i just can't! i used to be a chat room addict and then an aim addict and now i can't bear another addiction, it's too difficult to overcome addictions...man, it took me such a long time to finally get over my net addiction...i know being here is completely different, there's a good muslim community here, mashaAllah, but i am trying to be moderate in life...too much of anything isn't good for you, except chocolate! YUMMY! :) and then another factor plays in- SCHOOL! i promised my dad i would work harder this semester, because i didn't do as good as i should have last semester, so i need to concentrate on that...if i continue being an addict and become worse and worse, then i'll diss studying and come on here (which is something i would LOVE to do!) but you get my point.... so...starting february 1st, 2002, i've decided to see how long i can go on without coming here...and when i get to a stage where i know i'm not addicted, i'll come here once a week, probably friday night or something, but i'll hardly post, cause if i do, i get to know you guys better and then the addiction cycle happens again :/ now comes the mushy part...i hope i didn't offend anyone on here and if i did, it came from my weaknesses and not from my heart..i hope you can forgive me...you guys are just wonderful people, with such pure clean hearts and i don't regret meeting or getting to know you guys at all...you've had a profound impact on me and i'll carry what i've learned here forever on my path of life :) i'll miss you all dearly and i REALLY hope Allah keeps you and me under His protection ALWAYS and FOREVER! Ameen!!! okee, so that's my post, just wanted to let you all know! Do take care of yourselves...and i will be posting up until february 1st, so you haven't gotten rid of me completely yet! =) okee, Wasalaams! |

| As salamu alaykum Sis Hajreee, I definitely understand you when it comes to being addicted to this place, but this is my only connection to the Muslim world. | Salaams hehe, i don't know if i'll be back, i said starting february 1st i'll see how long i can go without coming on here, so we'll see :) i just don't want to be addicted, that's all =) and hey guys, don't make this harder for meeeeee! someone sent me an IM and said i was the funniest person on the board *blush* and not to go...although that's really really flattering, i just gotta do what i gotta do ;-D i don't know! i am sooooo confused! i keep saying "i can do this" and then the next moment i say "who cares if i'm an addict"... | salam, Hajreee's acronym for Lightningatnite... ...though LGAT does sound like some sort of test.. reminds me of LSAT Hajreee, Yeah addictions are not good.. I was addicted to another board before this one..and I had tried to many times to detach myself but I would stay away for a period and then find myself back in again... and when I finally managed to wean myself away from that place and remained boardless for a few months I stumble upon this one..I lurked for a while with no intention of joining but alas I had to reply to this one topic and I didn't know how to use the anonymous posting so I joined and here I am... You'll be missed..but you're doing the right thing ..when things get messy for me I am going to have detach myself from this place for a while as well.. Hope you do well Salam, merimda |
