Solo week at school

As Salamu Alaykum Everyone,

Please make duas for me. I am starting my solo week of teaching tomorrow.  This means that I am responsible for my cooperating teacher's schedule for the week.  I am teaching about the Roman Republic and have been searching high and low for interesting materials.  I am very nervous, since I still have problems with class discipline and am afraid that the kids will have me for an appetizer.

Despite being nervous I know (Al hamdu lillah) that I have been blessed with the opportunity to study.

As Salamu Alaykum

Im sooo siked to hear that other Muslims are seeking teaching degrees, this is awesome :) alhumdulillah
Well, I just finished my student teaching last semester and Im HAPPY and thankful...so girl I know what u are going through...I will def. keep you in my duaa's

---A few advice, the first day is going to be a bit crazy, you are going to be nervous and all but after that third day, they are going to STOP asking you about the other teacher (cooperating teacher) they are going to get use to you and you are going to get use to running the show....I remember telling one of my students that the cooperating teacher went to Disney, that was funny...anyways
Take ADVANTAGE of your solo week, do your THANG, this is YOUR classroom, do what u want, man I had sooo much fun with my 4th graders, it was hard but man I loved it, Just remind them from the beginning that YOU are the TEACHER, not ms soo and so or mr. so and so...
---ARRIVE EARLY, like an hour (the earlier, the better), to put up the schedule, photocopies, and any other thing....but most importantly have that time for yourself were u go through everything, the time where u get nervous,... I think the best thing that I can tell you is to be PREPARED, have EVERYTHING ready, I mean everything...
----And also ask the students to help you, dont feel ashamed if you dont know anything, trust me they can help you and they will appreciate it....

Insha'allah this will be a wonderful experience, insha'allah you will do GREEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTT !!! (BTW, what grade are u teaching? what setting?(urban/subran/rural)

Peace
