Salam alaykum,

My Question is why most of the Western newspapers and media didn’t bring this up or publish anything. While a dog runned down in Jo'burg or the smallest fact or fiction in the Muslim and/or Arab world will be published in big bold letters, all over.

The president of the Israeli Parliament, the member of the Labour Party Abraham Burg, started an outcry, Monday, in Jerusalem by denouncing in the Knesset the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories. " A people of occupiers, even if it were brought to occupy (territories) against its will, finish by being changed and disfigured by the tares of the occupation ", declared Mr. Burg. " It should not be forgotten that the prison guard and his prisoner remain locked up the majority of the day behind the same walls of absence of hope ", hammered Mr. Burg. " In hasher words, sirs the deputies, occupation corrupts ", he underlined. This denunciation also intervenes after 52 officers and Israeli reservists soldiers had announced, in a petition published Friday January 25, their refusal to take part in the future in " the oppression of the Palestinians and the occupation " of the territories. Abraham Burg had been already for a few days in the center of a sharp polemic in Israel after having declared his intention to go to Ramallah (the West Bank) to speak there in front of the legislative Council (Parliament) Palestinian.

KNESSET.
