differences between a man and woman's salat

As salaam u  alaikum,

my parents told me that women and men pray differently, when i asked why, my dad gave me a printout of some "hanafi rules" as he called them. of course there was no daleel offered. my question is, is there a difference between how men and women pray and if there is, who decided how women pray? because if Rasulallah (saw)is the best example for EVERYONE, doesnt that mean woman too? And lastly, the one distinction that annoyed me was that in sujood, ones forearms arent supposed to rest on the ground, but in the "Hanafi rules" it says men's forearms dont but women's do. so of course im like so we are supposed to imitate dogs?? ok inshaALLAH someone can clear my head and give me some answers so i can approach my parents with it.
