Assalaamu-alaikum A question for the sisters. What would you think of a bro if he was bald or balding? Would you consider him for marriage? Would it put you off? How much of an influence is a full head of hair when women are looking for a husband? Wasalaam. |

As salamu alaykum
How much of an influence is a full head of hair when women are looking for a husband?
Every sister is different. I think that it depends on what comes first the deen or the head! ;););) |

Well, if balding was due to age, that would be a whole nother question, but if its balding while young, I could overlook that, provided he could overlook my acne ridden face:)(: |

OK, what about if he was starting to loose a bit of hair, not bald, just you can see it coming? |

As salamu alaykum It really does not matter what we think. The sister that is destined to marry you will marry you and who cares about the rest. ;) As salamu alaykum |

slm Trust me- it is not as important to the women as men seem to think it is. Many of us grew up around balding brothers, fathers, uncles, grandparents- and we love them. After short while- you just don't seem to notice it as much as you do notice their smiling and caring faces. The time I remember noticing it was when my first hubby started to obsess about it. I could never understand it because he was good looking and his lack of hair did not take away from his appearance. Genetically- if i recall right- the men should look at their mother's father- I think that is where the gene comes from. |

Asalamu alikum, he he yeah its Deen that matters. You marry the brother cause of his deen not his looks. so i guess it depends on the sister who you are marrying.. he he nouha right on... I never knew that brothers were so touchy about the whole baldness issue, things that one learns after coming to this board:) jazakumAllahu khair |

Assalamu'alaikum
What would you think of a bro if he was bald or balding?
His hair follicles have a shorter lifespan. Isn't it such a big relief to know that maturity, faith, kindness, tact, sincerity, honesty, piety, humility, courage and all the good things, are not measured by the amount of hair a man has? On top of his head, or under his chin. Allahua'lam :-) |
