| [slm] Reading the accounts of the last days and the coming of Imam Mehdi, I noticed that not only will his army carrying black banners emerge from Khurasan, but also a hadith saying Dajjal will emerge from there too! Imam Mehdi's Army On the authority of Thawbaan (May Allah be pleased with him), the Messenger of Allah said: "If you see the Black Banners coming from Khurasan go to them immediately, even if you must crawl over ice, because indeed amongst them is the Caliph, Al Mahdi." [Narrated on authority of Ibn Majah, Al-Hakim, Ahmad] Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) said: "(Armies carrying) black flags will come from Khurasaan. No power will be able to stop them and they will finally reach Eela (Baitul Maqdas - Jerusalem) where they will erect their flags." Dajjal Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 5487 Narrated by AbuBakr as-Siddiq Amr ibn Hurayth quoted AbuBakr as-Siddiq as saying that Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) told them the Dajjal would come forth from a land in the East called Khurasan, followed by people whose faces resembled shields covered with skin. Heres other hadith about him..... Book 40, Number 7015: Narrated An-Nawwas ibn Sam'an:- "........He will appear on the way between Syria and Iraq and will spread mischief right and left". According to the hadeeth of Faatimah bint Qays (may Allaah be pleased with her), the Prophet said concerning the Dajjaal: “He will (emerge) from the direction of the Syrian sea or from the direction of the Yemeni sea… No, rather from the east…” – and he pointed towards the east. (Narrated by Muslim, no. 5228). Sahih Muslim Hadith 7034 Narrated by Anas ibn Malik Allah's Apostle (peace be upon him) said: The Dajjal would be followed by seventy thousand Jews of Isfahan wearing Persian shawls. [i]Khurasan is the vast area covering north-eastern Iran, southern Turkmenistan and northern Afghanistan.[/i] |

Are there any scholars who say that this hadith refers to the Abbasid revolution..I'm guessing that some Abbasid Caliphs probably would have..Does anyone know? |
