| [slm] Today, lightningatnite and se7en went to pick up Jannah from the JFK airport. Insha'Allah Jannah will arrive safely. | slm, yup alhamdulillah i made it back safely... but dead tired, my stuff was over 8 kilos... luckily i pulled out some books... 'that's only 1 kilo'!!! and got a disgusted look and made it thru...the good thing is he didn't check my carryon which was 22 kilos of books! (btw for us backwards amreeekans 1 kilo=2.2 pounds) my experience was a total roller coaster ride... lots of good... alot of mujahidah too... me and lightning are going to make a page... 'jannah and light's excellent adventures in sham'!!! :) |

| Yes yes.. they allowed 30 KILOs per 2 suitcases and 10 kilos for 1 handbag.. I was wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy over.... 4 months of acquired stuff, esp the books :( but alhamdulillah i have a nice library of arabic books now.. right now i'm not sure what time i'm on i woke up at 6 and have been online since.. wading thru a mountain of email :( wayyy too much stuff... i hear the madina has been growing leaps and bounds.. i hope thats in a good way? |
