Asalaamu alaikum, I need ideas on the "essential materials" required for an MSA's da'wah event. What are the specific books, pamphlets, posters etc that the MSA should obtain? Basically our MSA needs to request some materials for an Islam Awareness Week, but we need to know the things to request. wasalaam, Ahmed |

Aww, If your aims are similiar to the brothers/sisters in the UK try this site. www.fosis.org.uk You can print the stuff off i.e. the dawah material and perhaps even save it to disk and then take it to a printing press, if you or anyone else want any further material from Fosis get in touch with me. slm, if its in your budget, i would recommend investing in the Discover Islam poster set... http://www.discoverislam.com/... it has some good short bits of info on islam, with awesome pictures :) |

Asalamu Alaikum, Also, I would recommend www.whyislam.org You can order a bunch of pamphlets for a reasonable price. The pamphlets look very professional and come in an array of topics. I second the Discover Islam suggestion--you can get the actual poster set, or you can get the Discover Islam Readers which is a small pamphlet that shows the whole set, I believe. Another really really good, concise book is "A Brief Illustrated Guide To Understanding Islam" I think the cheapest I've seen it is $2 (if you're ordering in bulk) but nevertheless, it is definitely worth it. It has lots of pictures and it's professional, gives an overview of Islam, as well as the miracles in the Quran. Hope that helps insha'Allah. Asalamu Alaikum, Hebba |

Asalaamu alaikum wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuhu, jazak Allahu khairan for the advice. Bro Hanif, I checked out the Fosis site, Alhamulillah its excellent and I'm impressed to see how organised UK is... maan we don't even have Speakers, so I wonder if they'd be willing to send a couple down to NZ?? I couldn't find any brochures that I could download however, if there are some, could you please send me the link? Br Meraj, I actually have the poster set leaning against the wall in my room. I borrowed it from the brothers in Auckland...and yes they're excellent. Sis Hebba, I checked out the site and the pamphlets are pretty good. I've also seen the brief illustrated guide to understanding islam at a brothers place, but will try to get some more copies. wasalaam, Ahmed |
