Urgent: Need address of scholars in Virginia.

salaam alaykum

I have registered but the system refuses to recognize me, hence the
anonymous post.

A few days back we visited a muslim brother in our locality during our
weekly visitations. While we were at the end of our little talk, his
roommate walked in. The roommate was courteous, listened to us for less
than 2 minutes, interjected to raise some questions that belied his
confusion regarding his aqeedah (he is muslim, desi, and fob, btw). We
asked him whether he has consulted a scholar regarding this or not, to
which he replied in the negative, except for an email he sent way back in
time. We asked that this is something that can not be resolved through
emails. We asked him to personally go and meet a scholar and inshallah
all his doubts will be put to rest. We promised that we'll provide him
with some addresses of scholars that he can go and meet. But he is
planning to move to Virginia very soon. A friend recommended Ali Tamimi.
There must be some others as well, but I have not enough information to
forward to the brother. So please reply with addresses of scholars asap.
Jazakallah.

As salaamu alaykum, i don't know any one who is more difficult to catch than Ali Tamimi, muchless having a peronsal one and one meeting with him, so you can forget that! And i am not speaking just like that but from personal experience. And this in now way takes away from his good traits. However, you can contact the mashaykh at the Institute of Islamic and Arabic Sciences in America  in Virginia {www.iiasa.org.}, these guys are some of the most qualified around town, but their English may not be that up to mark, especially explaining matters of aqeedah which might be difficult to explain in simple English (the level these shuyukh are basically at). If things are not resolved by then (and the matter is one of seriousness), you can contact me and i can give you the numbers of some brothers who may be able to assist you all, for there are many knowledgable brothers in the area who speak English and Arabic very well and are tight in their aqeedah. And knowing shaykh Yusuf, he himself might refer you to those shuyukh themselves at the Institute of Islamic and Arabic Sciences in America for he himself is always there.
