H a p p y W e d n e s d a y S h a w w a l 2 7 , 1 4 2 3 A H ! ! ! ! Even the NON-Muslim world will be celebrating Shawwal the 27th, this year by giving their employees the day off, and those that do hafta work will be earning double-time-a-half ! Imagine that! Of course the First of Muharram, 1424 AH is just around the corner, at maghrib, sunset time, on the evening of MOnday March 3rd. Here we go again, Just when I think we ALL can share the SAME Shawwal the 27th, We find out that SOME people on this thread celebrating it yesterday. well then, H a p p y [i]T U E S D A Y[/i] S H A W W A L 2 7 , 1 4 2 3 A H ! ! ! ![/B] ...to all the brothers and sisters who celebrated yesterday. Inshallah all the five daily salats you performed will be accepted by the Almighty no matter when it is performed either yesterday or today, whether it was the 27th yesterday or the 26th. OOOPS, this just in, I interrupt my own post for the following news bulletin: [i]Al-Jazeera and BBC are reporting that the government of Pakistan has declared NEXT THURSDAY, will be the OFFICIAL, Shawwal the 27th. Not be outdone, the City-State of Singapore which also runs on the Lunar calendar when rich muslims, very rich muslims, are in town has declared that tomorrow, Thursday the 28th of Shawwal, will be the 27th of Shawwal. ...depending on moonsighting, or lack thereof.[/i] We now return you to your irregular scheduled Madinat Al-Muslimeen websurfing. |
