What is the skirt of the african slave.

I don't know if this is the thing you're looking at but what about:

-the fact that ka'ba is the qibla allll the Muslims all around the world face when they pray.

-the fact that when we do 6awaf around the Ka'ba we are in the same movement of each particle in nature. There is something in Arabic all about how we are at that moment in harmony with the nature of the world right down to the molecular level of how the electorns orbit the nuclearosis.

-the fact that there is right above the ka'ba but in the heavens another one exactly like it where the angels do their hajj.

-i think the garments are unsewn and like the ones we rapped in when we die. A good reminder we can do it ourself now and to prepare for a day when we can't (see the khutba i mention below for this part as well)

-they say the black stone when it came down it was nur and white and it became black from the sins of humans.

-did you see this?

and from the second khutba here this is VERY good masha'Allah

(i liked from the first part where it says we are then active participants not just spectators)
Hajj is both an outward and inward journey. It is an outward journey, from our homes and families and familiar things, to the centre of Islam; It is also an inward journey, to find our own centre. The outward journey to reach the Kaaba in Makka, helps us to meet our Muslim brothers and sisters, from around the world. It must also be our inward journey, to reach the Kaaba of our own heart and own soul. Here we need to reflect, to take stock of ourselves. Where have we come from, and where are we going? What have we done with our lives? How have we used the health, education, wealth and opportunities, which Alláh has provided for our benefit? We ask these questions at every level, but most importantly, at the spiritual level. Where have we come from, and where are we going?

and

I like how it goes up here:
We see and experience the true brotherhood of all believers. Before Hajj, we were used to praying and observing our Islamic duties in smaller groups. For example, prayer, salah, is a duty we all must observe, on time, 5 times a day. When we are alone, we pray alone, but as soon as there is at least one other person, we are encouraged to pray together. If we are near a mosque, we are encouraged to go there, and join a larger group. Once a week, we attend Jum’a prayers, and twice a year, we join even larger groups for the ‘Eid prayers. Finally, we are obliged, at least once in our lives, to make the pilgrimage to Makka. Hence, Islam urges us to seek active association in ever widening circles.

May Allah reward you for the good you do

The 3 foot high marble wall around part of the Kaba is called the al- Hatim, Ishmael's Hatim, and through some traditions the Skirt of Hagar. I have read that perhaps Hagar and/or Ishmael are buried there...Al Sharati speaks of it in his books....

I am looking for one liners that will capture the audiences curiosity, kind of like what happened when you saw "The skirt of an African slave."

These will be posted on an eisel next to me as I give my presentation.

The help I am asking you guys for is a fine tuning of my words. For example for the Ihram robe I have An Equalizing Garment.... I am not totally happy with this and am looking for something more profound. In the Eid section I have Pure and New... I think there must be better heart tugging words.

In fact if you can think of any wording that would be better, stronger, more profound than what I posted please tell me.

The Hajj story is a great dawah avenue, I want the women to be leaving and have the Hajj on their minds and souls!
