| [slm] folks, Ok time to lighten up this place...who turned out the lights ;) Ok all you brit's...iam not going to even try to act british or talk it b/c i could never pull it off :D But its high time for a tea party...or better yet... I want to know what its like to live in Brit. or any country in Europe as Muslim. What day you folks do down here? Whats it like ? Where are the big Muslim places... What TV programs do you watch...movies whatever. The only thing i know about brit. is one of my fav. authors is from there jane austin wasalam red :) |

[slm] time for a teaparty? yayy! *me sets the cakes and biscuits and crisps and ice-creams and fruit and not forgetting the bebzi* [] :-* living in britain is normal, cause i havn't lived anywhere else i can't comepare britain with any other place, to say whether its nice or yucky :-X There are quite alot of masjid all around britain, all around? i don't know.. but where i live theres quite alot in one area. hmm...all the big places... At leicester university they have a Jimas international dawah conference, and it takes place every year now alhamdullilah. (before it was every 2 years) and they invite speakers from all over and they give lectures on different topics. Plus loads of other muslims come from other places and you get to make new friends ;D the weather..It was snowing a few days ago and for the past days the ice covers the window screen of the car, and the locks of the doors get jamed, and then we get late for school! yep yep yep and thats about it. :) |

| [slm] Britain is cold. Wet. Doesn't snow, but just kinda slushes. Jane Austen...oooh try reading Charlotte Bronte's Jane Eyre or Emily Bronte's Wuthering Heights...pure dead brilliant ;D I quite like where I live. Bit of asian community, but not like they make Jalaybee's (pakistani sweets) on the streets like down in Southall ;) Nice walking about and passing another 'hijabi'...but you can't just eva pop out and NOT bump into someone you know, or someone who knows someone you know :D A lot of young people learning about Islam and trying to change years of cultural garb masquerading as Islam....hmmm kinda running out...ask a specfic question and I'm sure i'll give a long winded answer! ::) [wlm] :-* |
