| [slm] what happened to ssana? the shari3a scholars association in north america? what happened to MAYA? muslim arab youth association. does anyone have any infor. on contact infor or site or anything that has shaikh safwat morsi? does anyone know the name of the wife of shaikh (may Allah have mercy on him) salah abu isma3eel? and did she write a book? |

[/quote] this organization, founded by dr. abdul hakeem jackson and others, is no longer in existence as far as I know. it's basically been replaced by [url=http://www.fiqhcouncil.org/]the fiqh council of north america[/url]. |

| [slm] As far as I know, MAYA (Muslim Arab Youth Association) became dormant for a while due to different reasons in the late 90's. However, it was revived at the beginning of the 21st century, and they had a couple of big conventions in 2000 and 2001. But then Sep. 11 happened and pretty much ruined everything, because most of their shuyookh travelled from the Middle East to the US. Wallahu a'lam. |

| may Allah reward you both. Is anyone in SF? Imam safwat morsi used to be ther in the islamic society. anyone knwo if it is still so? (OMG maybe itcorpset can go to the center and find out ;D also itcorpset since the pictures thread is closed i only wanted to add this for you...Islam is a COMPLETE way of life and it is not that we wait till something happens and we try to fix it then, it gives us guidelines that if we do do them then it is more preventative than a cure which is better? right?) Where can you get copies of lectures recorded by MAYA or is that over now |
