assalaamu`alaikum

i dont know if i shd post this here or in the naseeha corner. anyhow, has anyone tried this course book series for learning arabic? if you have, id appreciate your feedback. i was a click away from orderin it and in the midst of comparin prices, i thot id ask you guys.

We are actually using those books in our arabic class :)
I like them. The back has the instructions in english and the front has the arabic chapters. You will understand the basic concepts of grammer well, but you will need a supplement for Vocab... There isn't much there to work with. Each section has some new words at the end..but not nearly enough. It doesn't cover anything on Balagha, and more advanced topics. But I think its a great starter kit.

thank you very much for ur reply sis, i appreciate it. i went ahead and ordered the books yesterday.  can you work on ur own with this book?

i attended a couple of arabic classes in the past but i stopped cos of the nature of my work. unfortunately i cdnt attend consistently every week. a brother i know who teaches tafseer, hadeeth etc is planning to start an arabic class sometime soon. i hope to join this one inshaa'Allah. failing which ill bug him every now and then with questions from this book.

what would you recommend for the vocab bit?
