| Asalamu Alykum, Insha'Allah Our MSA is organizing a Hajj Exhibit in couple weeks!!! We did a similar Ramadan Exhibit and alhamdullilah it turned out nice :-X We have about 4 walls and 5 display cases that we can use in the area. Some of our ideas are: * Pictures of Masjid-al-Haram and Prophet [saw] Masjid nicely mounted...** ** A nice explanation of the significance of Hajj mounted on those thick black boards** ** In our display cases, putting like the esentials of Hajj* kuffis, hijabs, ihrams etc and last time we very creative about it like putting prayer beads and all the essentials together, English translation of the Qur'an etc, ** A model of the Ka'ba** And on one wall we plan on re-using our pictures from Sidi Peter Sander "Longing for Divine" we mounted them on nice black boards last time :-X :-X :-X any more ideas *cough* Sis Kathy :) Waslamu alykum **P.S The jannah Hajj resource page is awesome.. :-* |

| [slm] Ah you know me so well... I just got this Idea for the Eid/Sacrifice table... A large butchers knife for the sacrifcie and 3 piles of meat ( I used styrofoam)wrapped in butchers paper with the names, lamb, goat, cow and camel written on them. Above each pile I plan on making a sign saying something like "sacrifice is not for blood- (use ayat)- that we feed the poor, our families and our neighbors. Do you have a white sheet to make a tent for Arafat, Mina/Muzdalifah? A bottle with the words Zam Zam? How about one of those table fountains with two little hillocks... For the preparation.. get a will, a bill that is stamped paid. A hall mark card saying "I am Sorry" For the journey.. a couple of plane, train, etc.. tickets throw in a camel...a caravan if ya got it! A Sunset background with the Farwell speech. Obvious... 3 Jamarats... with stones at the base. If you want to get daring.... and pique their interest.. A sign saying Muslims Only with an arrow diverting those that aren't so lucky! tee hee If I only had money... what we could do! |
