| [slm] My mother used to have lots of cats when I was younger back in Indonesia, but we don't have any pets now since it's hard to take care of them living in NYC. But I'm glad you brought up how you're able to have deeper thoughts when you're with your cat. I like cats too, having them around can be very relaxing. I've seen illustrations and have read somewhere about how Muslim Sufis would do their littany with cats around! Also, we all know of the famous Sahaba and Muhadith whose name refers to his collection and caring of cats: Abu Hurayrah! Fi Amanillah. |

| [slm] Ahlan wa sahlan! I have two blue-eyed white Persian cats - Menu and Raju - don't ask - my housekeepers kept the names :) Menu had a litter in December, but unfortunately, all three kittens died. :( This is the second time. The first time, she had just one kitten, and it too died within 3 days. The vet says she may have a behavioral problem. I'm planning to take her to another vet, who has been recommended by friends, in February, to be better prepared for her next litter Inshallah. Menu is more affectionate than Raju. She'll sometimes follow me around in the garden and then sit next to me so I can stroke her. I like having my cats around too. :) |

| I used to have a kazzillion cats growing up. As a matter of fact, my first love was a cat. ( that sounded lame, hehehe) Anyways, my nickname was kitten for a long time....that's how much I love 'em. You should see my apartment. I got miniature cats everywhere!.....On a horrible side though, I have to cut up cats this whole semester for class...Woohooo :(((( Aren't I horrible?!! Oh by the way......Welcome to the board! :) |
