Praise God from Whom all blessings flow!

As Christians hope in the return of Christ and to live in Heaven with Our Heavenly Father, I was wondering what is the ultimate reward for living a Muslim life committed to the ways of Islam?

Please respond, I would like to understand clearly; No disrespect intended.

Thank you. :-)

Jannah is that beloved treasure which every believer cherishes and strives to achieve. It is a place for which the true believers are prepared to give every sacrifice, to undergo the severest of difficulties and persecution with smiling faces.

here is some (there is much more) list inshallah of what we are looing forward to  in jannah

*Where rivers run below beautiful gardens.Massive palaces are constructed; one brick of silver and one of gold and the cement in-between is of pure musk.
*The pebbles of which are pearls, diamonds, rubies,emeralds and other gleaming gems.
*The soil of which is za'faran (safron)
*The tents are of solid jewels that have been carved into.
*The flowers, fruits and greenery is unlimited.
*The perspiration will be fragrant perfume.It will be eternal and everlasting.
THE BEST OF THEM ALL IS......

[glow=red,2,300]The veils will be removed and Allah will be seen...[/glow]

* In short it is a place of such delights that the eye
has never seen, the ear never heard and the human mind never perceived.

3. QURANIC VERSES REGARDING

JANNAH

* The Quran makes such a vivid description of Jannah; it is like a "live" transmission of what goes on in Jannah. 3.1. RECLINING ON COACHES
* Verily the Muttaqeen [The Allah-fearingl will be amidst gardens and fountains;
* [It will be said to them:] Enter here with peace and in security;
* And We shall remove from their hearts any feelings ofrancour and enmity;
* They will be like brothers, reclining on coaches, facing each other. 15/45-47

What about meeting Allah (swt)...

Isn't that the ultimate goal...only very few people will actually meet Him face to face.

Wasalaam.

A description of the "Lowest" level of Jannah (from Ramadhan.org):

The Lowest Part of Jannah

Jannah has many levels and each level has its delights. An individual attains Jannah according to the degree of good deeds that he has undertaken. The more good deeds, the more sacrifice and the presences of other Islamic characteristics will lead him to a better place. Since the description of Jannah is given in the Quran and Hadith of the beloved Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) and we have no experience of it, then to imagine what these differences are is difficult. As an example, if someone told you that something is perfect, this means by definition that it can not have been better, So for us to understand what the differing levels are, knowing that in each one of them we can have whatever we like, it will suffice for us to give a description of the lowest part of Jannah, so that the mind can boggle at its higher levels.

Imam Muslim in his Sahih has narrated from Al-Mughirah bin Shu`bah who reported that the Messenger (asalatu wasa laam) said " Musa (AS) asked his Rabb: `Who amongst the inhabitants of Jannah will be the lowest in rank?' He said: `It will be a person who will be admitted into Jannah last of all when all the dwellers of Jannah have entered Jannah. It will be said to him: Enter Jannah. But he will say: O my Rabb! How should I enter while the people have settled in their homes and taken their shares? It will be said to him: Will you be satisfied and pleased if you have a kingdom like that of a monarch of the world? He will say: I will be content, my Rabb. Allah will say: For you is that, and like that and like that and like that and like that.(Allah increases the amount each time) He will say at the fifth time: I am well pleased, my Rabb. Allah will say: It is for you and ten times more like it. You will have whatever your soul desires and whatever your eyes could delight in. He will say: I am well-pleased, my Rabb.'

The Two Shaykhs have narrated in their Sahih on the authority of Abdullah bin Mas`ud who reported the Rasoolallah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said; "I know of the last of the inhabitants of the Hell to be taken out from there and the last one to enter Jannah. He is a man who will come out of the Fire, crawling on all fours. Allah, the Rabb of glory and honor will say to him: `Go and enter Jannah.' He will go to it and think that it is full up. He will then come back and say: `O my Rabb, it is full up.' Allah will say to him: `Go and enter Jannah.' He will again go to it and think that it is full up. So he will turn back. Allah will again say: `Go and enter Jannah. For you have what is equal to ten times the world.' He will say: `Are You making fun of me while you are the King?'' At this I ( the narrator) saw the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) laugh till his premolars were visible and he said, "Such man will be the last dweller of Jannah in its lowest rank.''
This Hadith highlights Allah's endless Mercy and Bounty upon His slaves in Jannah.

Subhanallah!!

“For those who have done good is the best reward and even more (i.e. having the honour of glancing at the Countenance of Allaah)”

[Yoonus 10:26]

The “best reward” is Paradise, and “even more” is looking upon the Face of Allaah, as that was explained by the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), as was narrated by Muslim in his Saheeh (266) from Suhayb, according to whom the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:

[color=Red]“When the people of Paradise enter Paradise, Allaah will say, ‘Do you want anything more?’ They will say, ‘Have You not brightened our faces, admitted us to Paradise and saved us from Hell?’ Then the veil will be lifted and they will not have seen anything more dear to them than looking upon their Lord, may He be glorified and exalted. This is what is meant by ‘even more.’” Then he recited the verse (interpretation of the meaning): [/color]

Peace,
One of the earthly goals of Muslims is to lead a righteous life, to serve God (by worshiping Him as He has taught us to) and to serve His creation (by helping others - not worshiping them). We hope that this will lead to His forgiveness and Mercy to enter into His Paradise, but this is ultimately up to God. That's why we can't say that so-and-so is in Heaven or so-and-so is in Hell, because only God knows what lies in our hearts and what our final destination will be. Muslims are thus in between a state of fear (of His wrath for the sins we've committed) and HOPE (for His forgiveness, since He is the Forgiver, and He loves to forgive). The idea of taubah (repentance) is huge in Islaam.
The Prophet (S) taught us that it isn't exactly by our deeds that we'll enter Paradise, but by His Mercy. Meaning, there is no human being who could properly worship God as He is due. So God will judge us by our deeds and with respect to our shortcomings as humans, will decide whether we can, indeed, enter into Paradise. One of the keys to being considered for this Grace (ie, His Paradise, as opposed to His Hellfire), is the belief in the One, True God, and that Prophet Muhammad is His Messenger, since he was the one who came with God's last message (and thus, included in this last message is the message of all previous Prophets; ie, we must believe in them also).
However, this belief, alone, will not "save" us from Hellfire (although most scholars believe that this conviction will at least get us out of Hellfire, eventually). That's why the original point about leading a righteous life is so important in Islaam.
Hope that answers your question somewhat. The points made by the others were even better (although I haven't read all of them yet).
:)
