| AssalamU Alaikum, As we know the first 10 days of Dhul-Hijjah are of the most beloved days to Allaah AWJ. So what kind of plans do we have for these ten days...? Deen :-) |

| [slm] Thank you for raising this question about plans for the first ten days of the coming month. I am a new Muslim sister, having taking Shahada just before Ramadan 1423. Ramadan was wonderful, and I can't wait till it comes again, Inshallah. But as for Dhul-Hijja, I am not sure what the important things are that I should do during the first ten days. I think the Imam said in the Khutba today that we can fast the first ten days, and that a fast on the Day of Arafa is important. (I know not to fast on Eid al-Adha). Since I am not going to Hajj, what should I do in terms of zakat or sacrifice, etc? I feel a bit lost, and would appreciate help. Shukran What is the significance of the Day of Arafa and Ashura? What are the important things to do on those days, besides Fasting and reading Quran. Are there any special rituals or prayers. [slm]New Muslim Sister Julia |
