[slm] everyone,

Phil here reporting from down under ;)  Glad to see most of the teams made it. I'm sure they enjoyed the long camel ride through the Outback !!! Well it's getting down to the wire, there's only one more destination left after this one!!! Looks like it's strategy time. Some teams are using the nail biting click clicking strategy, while others are going all out using all their friends and family, while others are taking it casually, saving their FF for the last clue!!

Arright so here are your second to last instructions for the race:
Teams, join the Caravans to the Holiest Sacred place on Earth,
This House reflects the one in the Heavens,
Your mission is to Pray inside it. How did you accomplish it??
and yes my friends.. there's an easy answer.. I want a very specific answer that anyone can accomplish without any special circumstances or favors. Good luck from Allah and [wlm] see you next week on................

THE AMAZING RACE!!!!!!!

Welcome to the holiest sacred space on earth, the Kabah, House of Allah,  al haram al shareef, Makkah al mukarramah. Looks like many of the teams were able to join the Hajj caravans and arrived here. Many of the teams were able to pray 'inside the kabah'. A few of the teams tried bribing the king, their hajj service, or tried sneaking in as the cleaning crew for the kiswa, but unfortunately those special circumstances did not help them complete their mission, although they were amusing  ;)

See you at the finish lines teams!!!!

Assalam Aleikum,

I would go and pray in the Hatim. It is regarded as part of the Ka'bah structure.

Our answer to D #6 is the Holy Ka'ba and to pray inside it, we just need to pray inside the Hijr Ismail (Hatim) and it is equivalent as praying in the Holy Ka'ba itself.

The Hijr (Enclosure) of Isma`il, peace and blessings be upon him, encompasses the place between the northern and the western corners of the Ka`bah. Its floor is covered with marble and it covers about 17 cubits. It has two doors one to the eastern side of 5 cubits; and another to the western side of 7 cubits. There is an outlet for water beneath the stones of the Enclosure.

There are many Hadiths showing the excellence of the Enclosure. `Urwah reported that `A?ishah, may Allah be pleased with her, said: ?I really do not care whether to pray in the Enclosure or inside the Ka`bah.? It is a part of the Ka`bah as shown by `A?ishah.

Ibn Abu `Alqamah reported from his father that `A?ishah, may Allah be pleased with her, said: ?I used to enter the Ka`bah to pray therein. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, once took my hand and entered the Enclosure and said: ?Pray in it if you want to pray in the Ka`bah, for it is part of the Ka`bah but your people did not build it when they rebuilt the Ka`bah.??

Phil, ahluqman <http://www.jannah.org/board/images/brother.gif> and peace <http://www.jannah.org/board/images/sister.gif> are inside the Kabah at Masjid Al Haram in Makkah. After our seventh circumambulation, we went inside the Hateem (Al-Hijr) and made salat.  As narrated by Aisha, the Prophet   <http://www.jannah.org/board/images/saw.gif> took her to Hateem and stated: When you intend to enter into the Kabah, then remember that this too is part of the Kabah. (Tirmidhi, Abu Dawud). The original Ibrahimic Kabah included this area inside the original structure. <http://www.jannah.org/board/images/smiley.gif>

Assalamu 'alaikum wa Rahmatullah,

The Texan Duo reached the Holiest Place on Earth (Masjid Al Haraam in Makkah). We prayed inside the ka'abah by praying inside Hateem (the semi-circle area).

Wassalam.

Answer to #6
You put one foot in front of the other (walk) until you are in the Hijr of the Ka'bah. The Hijr is the space between the Hateem and the outer wall of the Ka'bah.

It is said that when you pray 2 rakat in the Hijr it is as if you prayed in the Ka'bah.

Al-Bait al-Ma'mur means "the frequently visited house". It is mentioned in the Qur'an in Surah al-Tur 52:4. The Prophet - peace be upon him- mentioned in his hadith on the Mi'raj that he was taken to the seventh Heaven and he saw there this House. Seventy thousand angels make Tawaf of this House. Every time a new group of angels come. The Ka'bah on this earth is made under the House on heaven. (See Tafsir al-Qurtubi).

From:
http://www.pakistanlink.com/religion/98/re-04-17.html

Then we ascended to the seventh heaven and again the same questions and answers were exchanged as in the previous heavens. There I met and greeted Abraham who said, 'You are welcomed o son and a Prophet.' Then I was shown Al-Bait-al-Ma'mur (i.e. Allah's House). I asked Gabriel about it and he said, This is Al Bait-ul-Ma'mur where 70,000 angels perform prayers daily and when they leave they never return to it (but always a fresh batch comes into it daily).'

Ibraaheem and Ismaa?eel (peace be upon them) built the Ka?bah completely, including the area of the Hijr, then the walls of the Ka?bah became weakened because of a fire and flood that happened before the mission of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) began. So Quraysh knocked down what was left of its walls and rebuilt it. They ran out of money from good sources and were thus unable to complete the building on the foundations of Ibraaheem and Ismaa?eel (peace be upon them), so they left the Hijr outside, and built a small wall around it to indicate that it was part of the Ka?bah. They had stipulated for themselves the condition that nothing should be used for building it except money from good sources, and that the earnings of prostitutes or profits from interest-based sales could not be used, or money that was acquired wrongfully by anyone.

In al-Saheehayn it is narrated that ?Aa?ishah (may Allaah be pleased with her) said: ?I asked the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) about the wall ? is it part of the House? He said, ?Yes.? I said, ?Why did they not incorporate it into the House?? He said, ?Your people ran out of money.??

Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 1584; Muslim, 1333.

?The wall? here refers to the Hijr.

Our answer:

The Holiest Sacred place on Earth is the Ka'bah. This House reflects Al-Bait al-Ma'mur which is in the Heavens.

To accomplish our mission, we prayed inside the semi-circular Hijr, part of the Ka'bah, as confirmed by our beloved Prophet (s) when he answered Lady Aisha's question about the wall (Al-Hijr) that could not be incorporated into the complete structure by the Quraish when they ran out of money and did not want to accept any unlawful funds.
Indeed, God does not do the least harm to mankind, but it is men who wrong themselves - 10:44

Team RainbowShine trudging into the Kaabah finally!!!

okay to pray inside the Kaabah we would try and get into the guest list of the Saudi Government...but being that its unlikely we would get on there...

Our Final answer will be: We would pray at the Semi Circle called Hijr Ismael which is considered to be inside the Kaabah! The Kaabah used to be a rectangle and then was built to be a square. And whoever prays on that semi circle would get the same thawaabs as praying in the Kaabah! Subhana Allah!
