Salaams

have you tried any of the major printing Islaamic printing press ??? I'm sure they'd have it, the catch maybe that they have the exisiting format in .pdf format and text is not the easiest font to work with. You could also try and copy the text from an E-book and transfer it into an arbic word processor and see if that works.

Is this what you are looking for:

http://www.sultan.org/books/quran.zip

I don't have an arabic viewer on my computer so I can't see it myself.

There are at least two softwares that use Word to insert aayaat when writing a document.  One is by Ad-dawaalij, but they haven't updated to be xp compatible, that I know of, the other is Al-ariss.  Al-ariss transfers each selected word as a jpeg. They used to be really expensive but became reasonable when the competition popped up.  Their website is:www.elariss.com.  The software is called "Quran publishing tools".  Both of these use the 'Uthmani font and work through MS Word.  You can paste in as little as one word or as much as you want.  The softward and Word have to be running at the same time.  You do have to be Arabic enabled for Ad-Dawaalij, but I don't think, but cannot say for sure, that it is necessary for Al-ariss.  Of course the jpeg eliminates the need, but I'm not sure if you can read and select the aayaat without the Arabic.  Your friend could ask.
