| [slm] I told you all before that I am doing this short film on Islam. Well with the help of an amazing german sister we have a good idea put togther. It's called "Mehr als Kopftuch" (More than a veil) and will convey the message that Muslim sisters are not oppressed and will hopefully do away with some of the main stereotypes. The GOOD news is, that my boss where I am currently on internship has expressed interest in making a longer version (45 mins - 60 mins) for the TV, AlHAMdulillah ;D Anywayzz, this is where you come in. I don't want to use any music if possible, but I need something other than just voice and atmo. So if anyone has cool beats (drums) or Islamically acceptable "music" and they are willing to let me use it for FREE and can send it to me as MP3 but even better would be *.wav, then PulEEEze post here soon. Insha Allah this project is gonna be GOOD!!! ;D |

I think it'll be good for background music. Maliha sent me a card.. and its got a song attached to it.. and I thought that is beautiful too.. but I dunno how to do these stuff.. so... really sorry :( Not much of a help, here . | Hey chica.. download kazaa lite and then search for: dawud wharnsby ali raihan rabbani cat stevens yusuf islam tarek jaber in team hijaaz soldiers of Allah use keywords nasheed and naat you'll find tons of awesome stuff!!! :) |

| [slm] thanx ;D Finding stuff is no problem - but I am in Germany - land of RED TAPE!! I need permission to use the stuff - geddit? So d'you think Yusuf Islam will send me a letter allowing me to use his music, fee free, for my film 8) I think not, which is why I am hoping maybe some of you are composers or copyright owners and will give me stuff ;D |

| [wlm] Actually if you write to him and tell him about your project, I'm sure you could get permission?? PS Sorry also make sure to download kazaa lite. The full kazaa installs all kinds of weird spyware. |

| Salaam Aleikum, I am sorry I cannot help you with your quest for material.... I am not a composer and I don't know any!!! I would suggest you write to some of the Muslim artists and explain that you are an intern whose boss is wanting you to produce this for television. Inshallah you will receive help from them. I would love to see it and I also have a German supervisor who always asks me so many questions about why I should have to wear hijab and cover my body and such... I would love to let her see a production like this!! Ameera |
