| Assalamo elikuim How is everybody in North East doing ? enjoying the snow :) It has been snowing here in Philly since early morning and is expected to continue till tomorrow morning !!! We have played board games, with blocks leggo, cars and I dont want to see another Sponge Bob squarepants episode!! ANy ideas what to do with kids- right now they are playing soldier soldier and inventing something with garbage bags and swords :) . Wasalam tq |

| [slm], Not much fun where i am at with all the ice. Public schools have been cancelled. No word on Universities...i don't get to have any fun with all the work i have to catch up on :P Get the kids to make some FOOD together!!!!!!! Hopefully you have stocked up on some stuff.... TV can really get you eventually and serfing the web, why not try to get them to read? That may be impossilbe (at least with my littl bro and sis), but worth a try... Its real tough if you have to stay a long time with kids stuck in a house, they can get really really out of hand! Best of luck, hopefully somebody has some better recomendations... :D wasalam red ;) |

| Dear Tq, I would really, really, really appreciate it if you would be kind and share your snow. :) It would make me very very happy see>>> :-/ Gosh we didn't get any snow this year in the great northwset what a rip. (face pouting and arms crossed) I'll take about a foot of it off your hands 8) As for the kids? I have a great idea that doesn't involve food cause Red can advise all red wants but red isn't there to clean up the mess :P (just messing with you red it is a good idea too) Have the kids think up and act out a play, send them off and tell them to come back in the room ready and you can sit down and make believe they are actors and you sip tea and watch. My kids loved to put on little skits. Crafts, you can mix white glue with food coloring and bread with the crust taken off and it will be like clay/play doh type stuff and they can make flowers and things and it will harden up. I use to make roses with that. ok theres my .02 cents have fun oh and a SNOWBALL FIGHT ;D |

| In MD last night (since it's been snowing since Fri night, and still going), the Governor issued a ban on all non-essential drivers on the road, so the snow-plows can do their thing. We were banned from driving (and from work today, alhamdulillah). :D That never happens in MD. :-[ We'll have to dig out our cars tomorrow morning (after we figure out which one's are which). :( It's unfortunate that we won't be able to wait until Wed-Fri, when most of this is supposed to melt, anyhow, inshaa'Allah, all 2-3 feet of it. :o |

| Assalamo elikuim Thanks for the ideas. Alhamdullah it is over:) Today is the first day of school after snow and Eid break !! Rameeza my arms are hurting a lot too. My husband did most of the shovelling but I did my part too :) We literally had to dig the car out Wasalam PS: does anyone know how to take out play dough from the carpet. |

| [wlm] haha tq reminds me of that commercial for staples office supplies store. there's this guy with a cart dancing around staples happily putting supplies in the cart and then he moves aside and you see two vexed little children. and the announcer says something like "yes, isn't it great it's that time of year again -- back to school sale" hehe i love it :-/ |

| A store manager overheard a clerk saying to a customer, "No, ma'am, we haven't had any for some weeks now, and it doesn't look as if we'll be getting any soon."
