Here's a recipe for pseudo Ras Malai Amreekan version. (It's baked ricotta cheese squares in milk) -Mix 1 box of ricotta cheese 32oz, 2 eggs and add 1-2 cups or more of sugar.. just keep mixing it until the taste is to what you prefer. -Place in baking pan and bake at 350 degrees as if it was cake until you can put a knife in and it comes out clean. - While that's baking, get a 32 oz box of half & half and bring it to a boil in a pan and add some sugar to sweeten it a bit. (boiling takes awhile) Make sure to keep stirring so it doesn't burn on the bottom. After it boils turn it off and just put it in the fridge to cool. - When the ras malai is baked take it out and put it in the fridge till it cools as well. Once it's cool too take it out and cut into squares. Then just put the squares in a dish and pour the half&half on top and leave it in the fridge overnight to soak. Put some nuts on top for garnish and it should be all set! (You can also bake in cupcakes so that the cake part comes out in cute little circles and according to this master chef I know you can also add saffron to bring out the taste. ;) ) |

[/quote] Assalamu alaikum You can try making bean sprouts out of them, and then you could use them in lots of stuff. You make the sprouts like this: soak the beans overnight in water, then rinse till it runs clear then drain them and put them in a container (opaque) covered with a screen (like a sieve or cheesecloth) for about 3 days, rinsing them about twice a day, and they'll have sprouted little white shoots :) Insha Allah. This'll only work if the beans are raw to begin with of course :) Another thing that you can do with them is roast them like peanuts and eat them for a snack. Or you can grind them up into flour and add them to regular flour for a high protein cake or bread. |
