Mr. Abu Hamza Almasri the Finsbury Park mosque cleric with alleged ties to Al-Qaida bombers will be appearing on Radio Talk Sport (www.talksport.net) representing ‘you’ on the James Whale show. He is to be part of a panel representing The UK’s major religions which includes Christian and Jewish Clergy- Monday the 24th of February, 20:00PM to 01:00AM Every time he opens his mouth he dents the Islamic public image and tarnishes our reputation with his mindless rhetoric. Every word he utters is a generation back for us. Every public appearance he does fuels the fire by giving the Zionists an edge over us… SO GET OFF your PrimeTime Behind and Make Your Voice Heard… Abu Hamza has said nothing to support our position in the west with his rhetoric. If anything, he has given the tabloids and the Zionist propaganda machine ammunition to use against us and brand us all in the same category as him. It’s not that he's not a lovely fellow, that I am sure he’s not but he cannot make a logical argument stand on any interview and always utters mindless remarks that make us all look stupid and ignorant. Now Take a minute and think about it… What do you think will happen if Abu Hamza appears on the show? 1.Do you think he will be able to hold an intelligent logical argument? 2.Do you think that he will represent you in a way where you can hold your head high in the morning when you’re reading the morning papers or listening in to the show? 3.Do you think that he will be able to defend you against the onslaught of anti Islamic slander and questions from the presenter, the panel and the clergymen? Well of course it is none of the above, what will happen is: It will spell disaster for all those Muslims who believe negative media is bad media, and having him on the station is a whole generation back in the effort we have put in to combat Islamophobia and oppose the Zionist machine. It’s an absolute fact that this will give the opposition's propaganda machine a chance to take arms and laugh all the way to the printers armed to the teeth with slanderous remarks regarding Islam, indeed the outcome will be catastrophic to our Jihad. If Abu Hamza does appear on the show then the outcome may be extremely damaging for Muslim public relations, he will say nothing but harmful rhetoric and ignorant statements… So contact the Radio Station and make your voice is heard in refusing Abu Hamza any more media coverage. Demand that a true representative of Islam and Muslims represent us, someone who can defend you live on radio and can deal with intellectual commentary. Someone who can spread the positive message of Islam. MPAC have called up the radio station more than once..but each time they have refused to comment kn their choice of Muslim representation. So let them hear your Voice... What can you do? Do u have feelings? Do u have a voice? Do u have a telephone? Do u have a computer? Contact Sports talk and let them know exactly how you feel regarding Abu Hamza appearing on the show as a representative of Islam. Also, make sure you tune in on the night of the show to call in and join the debate 1058/1053 am band. No doubt Abu Hamza will miss the point and eventually suffer a humiliating defeat by the hands of the guests and the public. Threaten boycotting the radio station, and picketing outside if Abu Hamza is not replaced or taken off. Do your bit for this just cause, its time to get your voice heard and make a difference, an act so small as this goes a long way in us achieving victory. | MPAC update.... SUCCESS MCB TO REPRESENT MUSLIMS ON TALK SPORT Yesterday MPAC released an ALERT asking Muslims to call and email the James Whale show and demand the fiery speaker Abu Hamza not be used as the voice of Muslims for the show. Instead we asked you to chose from a panel of Muslim organisations who could articulate our position far better then the Sheikh. Muslims who speak English as their first language are often the best people to speak for us. They are understood by the British public far better then foreign speakers. Despite the email address being incorrect (sorry to all those who wrote in), many of you went to the website and picked up the right one!, and believe it or not many of you picked the phone up, and emailed and called MPAC to tell us about your conversations with talk sport representatives. We gave you a list of Muslim organisations who could competently represent you, from IHRC, MAB, Just Peace and a host of others including ourselves, it seems most of you have asked for the MCB to to represent you on talksport and as a result talksport have caved in to Muslim pressure. We recieved this email today from an active Muslim who demanded they allow allow an organisation that represents the Muslims more: Dear Aziz, Apologies for the delay in replying. We are fully aware that Sheikh Abu Hamza al-Masri does not represent the views of the wider Muslim population. That is why we have invited Inayat Bunglawala, spokesperson for the Muslim Council of Britain, to appear at the same time as Hamza in a round-table dicussion. Joining Hamza and Bunglawala will be Rabbi Gershon Overlander, spokesperson for the Jewish Information Bureau; and the Reverend Steve Chalke, founder of the Christian charity Oasis Trust - so mainstream representatives of the Muslim, Jewish and Christian faiths will have the opportunity to participate fully and equally in the programme. And, of course, listeners will be given the opportunity to air their views. There is absolutely no way that the programme will be anti-Muslim, anti-Jewish or anti-Christian. On the contrary, it is an attempt to try to understand the different viewpoints of these three major religions. Having said that, Hamza does have a following and to pretend otherwise is to hide your head in the sand. It is our hope that getting these people around a table and talking may help us all to understand the problems facing us now and in the future.I thank you for taking the trouble to write and let us know your views. No one in MPAC is saying Abu Hamza is insincere however no one can deny he has allowed the Media to demonise him and thus the Muslims. It is illogical for him to appear on television representing the Muslim point of view after making so many media gaffs and think Muslims should over look them because he is a sincere brother. We all pay the price for him and Omar Bakri's rhetoric. Its about doing the job, he may be brilliant in one field but is far from competent when it comes to the Media. By forcing the Muslims into a position where we have to demand he stops appearing on our behalf, he has done us all a disservice, and only has himself to blame. He should carry out his job in another field of excellence, leave the Media to others. He hasn't mastered it and we cant afford to wait until he does. The Media is out to get Muslims, he seems to give them a helping hand at every opportunity. He is PR unfriendly and has put our image back decades. Its a simple formula, if you cant do the job - dont. Abu Hamza is incompetent at best when dealing with the media, someone needs to tell him or all of us suffer. If he has an organisation, he needs to get a spokesman. He should remain behind the scenes. Until he learns this, we will be forced unwillingly to ask him not too give the media more ammunition against us.
