| [slm] I work for a charity organization and people send in money all the time mashallah to be distributed to different countries in need...but yesterday a group of young girl scouts (i'd guess they might be around 5-6 yrs old) sent hand drwan eid cards with a dollar attached to each card and requested it to be sent to their brothers and sisters in palestine so they can eat candy too :)..touched my heart..subhanallah children are so beautiful.. : :-* |

| [slm] I was looking through some posters in a store today and came across one of a sunset in the background, lighthouse (Al-Manar?) in the foreground and across the bottom it said "THERE IS HOPE". Since I am going through fairly tough time at the moment with problems in different areas, it was something that really touched my heart, Alhamdulillah. |

| [slm] I was feeling pretty low today...Really low....just everything keeps bombarding my being...from the senselessness of what I hear around me, to the madness of the situation we are in. My heart was heavy..and I literally had to pep talk my way into Jum3ah prayer today. We have an elementary school adjacent to our Masjid..and the children with their sweetness innocence always add a spark to our community, Alhamdullillah. One little gorgeous girl, Iptihaan, alwayz sits with me during Salaat. She and her friends gathered around and before the adhaan they were filling me in with the usual chit chat. "My teacher gave us presents today!" ..I was absent mindedly listening to them..until Iptihaan got up and brought the Quran then she shyly and proudly looked up at me and said "I memorized Suratul Mulk, and Suratul Yaseen, Half of Al Baqarah and I am on Suratul Fajr now" :-* Iptihaan is only 8 years old. Subhana Allah :) She really lit up my face and heart :) And I thought, looking into her shining eyes, "You know what! There is hope Inshaallah" :) Alhamdullillah. Sis, Maliha :-) [wlm] |
