Not only the lower class hindus but the elite hindus are also sending kids to our Madarasas. http://www.deccan.com/headlines/top5.shtml Hindu kids join Bihar madarasas Patna, Feb. 20: Muslim seminaries may be viewed with suspicion in some parts, but many Hindu parents in Bihar are sending their children to study at such madarasas. About 100 Hindu children are enrolled in madrasas across the State, according to the Bihar State Madarasa Education Board. Board president Abdul Wahid Ansari said Hindu parents — both upper caste Brahmins and lower caste Dalits — are sending their children to madarasas. “Awareness about madrasa teaching or education in Hindu society, mostly among the downtrodden sections who cannot afford costly education, is bringing them to these schools,” Ansari said. According to the madrasa board, last year three Hindu students passed Ustaaniya — an examination equivalent to Class VII in regular schools — from madrasas in Siwan district. Ansari said the presence of Hindu students in madrasas had exploded the myth that these schools preached religious fundamentalism and fomented anti-national feelings. “After a few Hindu students passed our examinations, they told the outside world about our humane approach. We are not teaching anything against any religion or anything anti-national. | i can understand the dalits sendin their kids to the madrassahs but hte brahmins doin the same, hmm thas new, theyre the most pukka of the hindus no? |
