Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, reported:
A person came to Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) and said: Who among the people is most deserving my companionship (of a kind treatment from me?) He said: Your mother. He, again, said: Then who (is the next one)? He said: It is your mother (who deserves the best treatment from you). He said: Then who (is the next one)? He (the Holy Prophet) said: It is your mother. He (again) said: Then who? Thereupon he (The Prophet (peace be upon him)) said: It is your father.

(Robert John 'Mutt' Lange)
(sang by Celine Dion)

Mamma….You gave life to me…..Turned a baby into a lady……..And Mamma…….All you had to offer……Was the promise of a lifetime of love.....Now I know……...There is no other…..Love like a mother's love for her child…..And I know…..A love so complete…….Someday must leave….Must say goodbye.

Goodbye's the saddest word I'll ever hear…..Goodbye's the last time I will hold you near…..Someday you'll say that word and I will cry…..It'll break my heart to hear you say goodbye.
Mamma…..You gave love to me…..Turned a young one into a woman …..And mamma……All I ever needed…..Was a guarantee of you loving me …..'Cause I know…..There is no other…..Love like a mother's love for her child. And it hurts so…..That something so strong…..Someday will be gone, must say goodbye.

Goodbye's the saddest word I'll ever hear…..Goodbye's the last time I will hold you near…..Someday you'll say that word and I will cry…..It'll break my heart to hear you say goodbye.
But the love you give will always live…..You'll always be there every time I fall…..You offered me the greatest love of all…..You take my weakness and you make me strong…..And I will always love you 'till forever comes. And when you need me…..I'll be there for you all the way…..I'll be there your whole life through…..I'll be there this I guarantee, mamma…..I'll be…..I'll be there through the darkest nights…..I'll be the wings that guide your broken flight…..I'll be your shelter through the raging storm…..And I will love you 'till forever comes.

Goodbye's the saddest word I'll ever hear…..Goodbye's the last time I will hold you near…..Someday you'll say that word and I will cry…..It'll break my heart to hear you say goodbye.
'Till we meet again...
Until then...
Goodbye

I asked: Messenger of Allah, my mother, who wants my company or who hates Islam, has come to me, should I (even in her position of being opposed to Islam) treat her well? He said: Yes.

We have enjoined on man kindness to his parents: in pain did his mother bear him, and in pain did she give him birth. The carrying of the (child) to his weaning is (a period of) thirty months. At length, when he reaches the age of full strength and attains forty years, he says: "O my Lord! grant me that I may be grateful for Thy favour which Thou hast bestowed upon me, and upon both my parents, and that I may work righteousness such as Thou mayest approve; and be gracious to me in my issue. Truly have I turned to Thee and truly do I bow (to Thee) in Islam." (Qur’an  46:15)

Thy Lord hath decreed that ye worship none but Him, and that ye be kind to parents. Whether one or both of them attain old age in thy life, say not to them a word of contempt, nor repel them, but address them in terms of honour.
And, out of kindness, lower to them the wing of humility, and say: "My Lord! bestow on them thy Mercy even as they cherished me in childhood."  (Qur’an 17:23&24)

Anas bin Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, reported:
Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, has appointed an angel as the care-taker of the womb, and he would say: My Lord, it is now a drop of semen; my Lord, it is now a clot of blood; my Lord, it has now become a lump of flesh, and when Allah decides to give it a final shape, the angel says: My Lord, would it be male or female or would he be an evil or a good person? What about his livelihood and his age? And it is all written while he is in the womb of his mother.
