New Sister... I need help already

Bismillah ey Rahman e Rahim...

Salaam alaikum everyone..how are u guys?  I just want to start out by saying Im new here :)  Ive already made my entrance in the womens board ... I thought Id say Salaam's to everyone in here.  I hope that we get to know each other on this board, and Inshalah help each other to become better muslims and increase our faith!

Allhamdullilah I have been reading the quran <almost finished inshallah> alot lately, and have been keeping up with my prayers; 5 times  day shukur, but ive noticed that as my faith gets increased, Shaitaan is BUGGING me!!! I hope I dont sound silly.. I pray for Allah Subhana Wa ta'allah to guard me against shaitaan.  When i read verses from the quran, and Allah <swt> says  that he guides whom he wants to the right path, and misleads who he wants, I know that shukur this is all in Allah Swt's will, and that only Allah swt can protect us, and to him we return, and to him we ask favors for, and he is the esteemed, the forgiving who can help us.  But I wanted to ask what you guys do when shaitaan whispers evil? When im at work, it seems to be the worst, since iam surrounded by non-muslims,  but allhamdullilah when im at home, im fine.?

When I tell my fiance, he tells me that once your faith gets increased, shaitaan cannot harm you nor mislead u... but.. ? and in the Quran shareef it says that Shaitaan does not bother the ones who are faithfull and put their trust in Allah Swt <sorry I havnt memorized the exact surah>

If anyone can tell me their own experiences, and what you do to ignore him, i would appreciatte it.

your sister in Islam....

Welcome  :-) ….. very happy you found your way to Madina(t) and hope you enjoy yourself….. find what you are longing for.... Insha Allah.  There are some great brothers and  sisters here.

First and foremost  Sister…… take everything I write or you read from me here on this board with a large grain of salt….. “have you heard that expression”….. I am very very humanistic with my responses sometimes and by no means a scholar….. I am just a fellow sister as you…. And think we should be supportive of one another…… please always ask Allah(SWT) for assistance to understanding what you may need, from me or anyone/any thing. ((I’ll write you a book here….. haha…. Because I like to write… smile…. One day Jannah is going to ban me from the board because I take up too much space ;)  :'())……. I truly apologize for that nature I have:

Okay…… first I thought… keep up your great work….. Congratulations on your efforts thus far….. I pray Allah(SWT) will help support you to make your efforts easier and easier with time.  I think your fiancé is right on, with his advice and there cannot be enough stressed and praise and thanks to Allah(SWT) that you have him as a wonderful support to you.

Some things to keep you headed in Allah’s direction here at Madina(t)…. Provided by our wonderful Sisters…… ((there are so so many…. these are just a few of my first favorites, of course you could browse and find them yourself but thought to share what I have enjoyed as a Welcome)):

(The Ninty-Nine names of Allah is my personally favorite subject… because I do not feel enough time is spent getting to know our creator and the one we submit to…. I think there is a true key in understanding Allah and his Attributes)

As an addition:

It is narrated by Bukhari and Muslim and mentioned by Jalaluddin as-Suyuti, from other collections, that 'Ali bin Abi Talib (RAA) said, "I asked the Prophet (saw) one time, 'O Messenger of Allah, guide me to the shortest way to Allah's Presence, and the easiest way to worship, and the best way for Allah, Almighty and Exalted. The Prophet (saw) said, 'O 'Ali, you have to be continuously making Dhikrullah, silently and aloud.' I replied, 'O Prophet (saw), all human beings are making dhikr. Give me something special.' The Prophet (saw) said, 'O 'Ali, the best of what I, and all prophets before me, said is, la ilaha illallah. If all the heavens and earth were placed on one side of the balance and la ilaha illallah were placed in the other, la ilaha illallah would be heavier. Judgment Day will never come as long as there are people on this earth saying la ilaha illallah.' Then I said, 'How should I recite.' The Prophet (saw) said, 'Close your eyes and listen to me reciting la ilaha ill-Allah three times. Then you say it three times and I will listen to you.' Then the Prophet (saw) said it and I repeated it in a loud voice."
Shaitaan is BUGGING me!!! I hope I don’t sound silly………..
…….. next time you question yourself…… maybe you can remember this Qur'anic verse:
And if (at any time) an incitement to discord is made to thee by the Evil One, seek refuge in Allah. He is the One Who hears and knows all things.  Qur’an (Fusselat) 41:36
Sometimes I wonder if we Fear Allah (SWT)…… as much as we Fear Satan
Allah (SWT) is our creator…….. our guardian.  Smile……. You know what I would say((all humanistic opinion here/this is not scholarly advice))…….and  I’m thinking okay, now about all of the Muslim siblings here are going to think I’ve flipped …If they don’t think that already… when you hear the sneaking whisperer… as you feel you do… “Tell him to GO AWAY”….. If he’s intense….. “BE INTENSE”…… then submit to Allah for Assistance….. Du’a…. Dhirk… whatever you find works and brings the comfort to your heart…(if you are setting at your desk at work for instance….. sure you cannot run to to perform Salat….. but you can repeat “ya Allah” inside your heart 100 times….. got me ….. what works and what brings YOU close to Allah(SWT)…… ((this is an at the moment response))…… Someday you may find the scholar that gives you the right advice and the perfect  supplication…… but if you don’t….. go with what you know brings you close to Allah (SWT)…. And continue praying to him…. supplicating to him….. and asking for his mercy.

:-* Blessings Sister……. Welcome to Madina(t)
