| [slm] Has anyone else come across the album [color=Blue]Mercy like the Rain [/color] by Shaam? It is awesome! I especially love the arabic nasheeds and the way they have provided the translations in the cd cover. I think my favourite nasheed by far is the first track [i]Kulama Nadayt Yahu - Everytime I call out to him.[/i] Subhanallah, the way they use their voices is amazing. I'm not sure if you can listen to it online, maybe some of the experts could help out here? Has anyone here heard the group perform live? What did you think? |

| As-salaamu 'alaykum wa rahmatullah, I got this from the Islamicbookstore.com a while back. Don't listen to it often, but the one track that grew on me was the one related to the Burda (track #4). I'd recommend it overall, though (esp. switching to nasheeds if anyone's trying to wean themselves off from other types of music). |

| [slm] Alhamdullilah we got the chance to listen to them at a recent conference and they were really good mashaAllah. Me and my mum's fav is [i]Jashne Aamade Rasool[/i] which is in Urdu, but i like the others. Their new album is [color=Green]Spring has come[/color]. My fav from that is [i]Makki Madni[/i], another Urdu nasheed. Sr Sunnah, i'm sure there are many nasheed websites where u can download them. Try searching them. One website u can try is http://www.jannah.org/jannahradio or www.anasheed.com. A lot of the nasheeds i find on the net are in arabic so i dont understand what it is about ( :-[ an incentive to learn) but they are really nice. [wlm] |

| [slm] Jazakallah for that Sr Saffiyah! I can't believe they've produced the new album in such a short amount of time. Inshaallah, another item for my list. :) Listening to nasheeds really does help to "wean" yourself off other music, i find that instead of getting a really annoying song stuck in my head, sometimes the words of a nasheed will play in my mind and it'll have a positive effect on the rest of my day and give me (nourishing) food for thought.
