[wlm] here are some things u could do... buy a one time heavy leave in conditioner and try it wash with warm water, rinse with freezing cold change shampoos frequently and buy one with less chemicals get a shampoo that might be a little expensive but works nice.. ie pantene definitely drink more water and have a better diet :) use less styling products or dyes and dry hair naturally wear hijab (protects hair from all kinds of stuff like pollution and uvrays) but not too tight, relax on the umtahs (those tight cap under things) but when in the house keep hair loose so it can breathe same at night hmm wow i should open my own salon ;) |

[slm] To add a couple more: do cholestrol (sp) treatments, protein treatments, oil treatments... A cheap easy way, is to just put lotsa olive oil in your hair and put a wet hot towel around...for 10-15 minutes (or however long you can stand it) and then wash it. It really makes a difference! Oil to hair is like food in our bodies...A lot of time we ignore it or think its icky blah. I use Mizani Product for hair cream, its really non greasy and acts as an awesome hair nourisher:) Biolage is another good hair creme. Conditioner! Conditioner! Conditioner! I use Trese`ame (sp), its wonderful Mashaallah! Use the one for dry/damaged hair (unflattering title but it works :P) I think that's it from me.... Maliha Hair "expert" (NOT!) :-* [wlm] |

[slm] When you wash your hair, only wash the upper part and the scalp... the ends tend to get the driest and so I never rub the ends with shampoo... I just kind of let the suds that run down them when I rinse to clean them... Take your fav. conditioner that is just absolutely wonderful. just put enough in your hair to detangle it and rinse it out. Comb your wet hair NEVER use a brush on wet hair. Then put in your fav conditioner again throughout your hair, especially the ends and either braid or roll into a bun and leave it in your hair under your hijab for the whole day. Do this a few times a week. The results have been incredible for me... the silkiest shiniest hair!! Ameera |

Asslamu alykum :) Brush your hair at least 2-3 times a day.. It stimulates your hair follicles... I have been loosing hair like crazy this sem.. stress is a huuuugeee part and a friend of mine has the same prob.. Also, if you have been using a shampoo for long time it builds up.. you need to change it.. condition your hair but not every day it builds up.. Olive oil sista!!! Also, also also speaking from experience don't put your hijab on, or put your hair up if they are still wet... wow, jannah the whole amtha's thing is sooooooo true.. my amatha's usually are soooooooooo tight.. :o |

I know what you mean Ayesha. School stress is the worst on hair. I've been experiencing it myself ( even breakouts - yuk!) Olive oil :P....yeah I've tried that but there is one bad thing about it....well actually two : first...it takes forever to wash out and secondly...it makes your hair stink! A little pointer I heard about making hair healthy is to put you head between your knees while sitting so that you get an increased blood flow. That's supposed to fertilize you hair follicles. |

bismillah... assalamu alaikum girls, the best hair oil treatment i used is made by french company called phytologie. the product is called Huile d'Ales. for best results: - place the ampule in cup of hot (not boiling) water, - spritz on hair that has been wetted with warm water, - wrap hair in a towel for 30 minutes or more ( the longer the better), then - shampoo with a *MILD* brand. you don't have to worry about smell or consistency, it is light and smells very exotic. if you cannot see the image below, go to http://mp.hairboutique.com/list.asp?Action=search&MnfID=38&ACID=77&APID=2, and scroll to page 3 take care z. [slm]
If You Want Healthier Hair, Eat This Healthy hair requires a healthy diet. Hair typically grows a half-inch each month. Restrict your calories too much, and your hair growth will slow. It could even fall out. Hair needs a nutrient-rich supply of blood to the follicles to grow and be its healthy best. Here's a quick test from InStyle magazine to tell if your hair is healthy: Stretch a strand of hair by the root when it's wet. Tug gently. If it stretches about 30 percent of its length before it breaks, it's healthy. If it snaps instantly, it's damaged. Cooking Light magazine and iVillage.com emphasize that eating a healthy, well-balanced diet with the following nutrients is one of the best things you can do for your hair: Omega-3 fatty acids Salmon, mackerel, halibut, sardines, herring, flaxseeds, flaxseed oil, canola oil, soybeans, soybean oil, pumpkin seeds, pumpkin seed oil, walnuts, and walnut oil. Zinc Oysters, cereal, Alaskan King crab, the dark meat of turkey, cashews, sunflower seeds, spinach, kidney beans, and tofu. Vitamin B-6 Bananas, salmon, light meat of chicken, sweet potato with the skin, cod, watermelon, and spinach. Vitamin B-12 Cereal, top round steak, canned tuna packed in water, flounder, turkey breast, fruit-flavored yogurt, skim milk, and mozzarella cheese. Selenium Baked potatoes with the skin, roasted pork loin, eggs, top sirloin, turkey breast, wheat germ, whole wheat bread, and cashews.
|
