| Salaam, Hello my friends. I kind of got very fustrated a couple months back. Fustrated by the boards and the anti-american stuff Fustrated by my family and people I know with the anti-Mulism stuff I really like these boards and wish to come back. But I just get so fustrated with stuff. Some of you have not so nice things to say about Americans and then I have my family and some friends have not so nice things to say about Islam and Muslims when they don't even know any personally. I am trying to learn everyone has an opinion, I just wish folks wouldn't be so judgemental and critical. I just wish folks could all learn to get along, I know this won't be 100% possible. But I am here and back on the boards. Not home, been traveling and staying at a place in the mountains to clear my mind. I miss you all. Any words of wisdom, advice and any comments are most welcomed. Just please be nice :) |

| Salaam Cara Welcome back hugs :) I have gone through a lot too and add to that the SARs scare..its very tiring. Well, I can share with you how I retain my sanity. Just believe that if you don't allow anyone to have much power over you, they won't. Indeed, life is not anout now, its about the Hereafter. So, despite the insanity, just tell yourself that do everything you could now to receive everlasting happiness later. Kept me detached a lot of times :) Take care :) |

It may be difficult, but trying to keep a distance and not taking comments PERSONALY is probably the only thing to do. Let the negative comments wash off you like "water off a ducks back", don't dwell on it at all. Just put it down to a difference of opinion and carry on with what you know is best. | [wlm] sister Caraj I hpe you remember me . (im silverose...proposed partner post) I am glad to hear you are bak Alhumdulilah and im sad about what is goin on, insh'Allah everything will be ok. I know what you are talking about (sparrow, dude, mike, chris, ) all have said the same thing. Comeon people if all these people (sorry to mention your names) have said this then we are obviously doing something wrong. I also have seen the injustice which is quite contary to Islam (cause Islam is all about justice) maybe we can reread their post couple timz before we comment insteading of 'thinking' they said or meant something when they really didnt. ..hopefully insh'Allah we can change our ways, and be nicer (if you cant say anything good, then dont say anything atall). It hurts me that we as Muslims are acting like this when we know our every word/action is recorded. the prophet [saw] treated guest with the utmost respect and as nonmuslims you are our guests and we should treat you the same. you are still learning and trying to understand us. I assure you that this is not the way of our beloved prophet [saw]. I think after 9/11, evangeleists and the war we have started to fear and mistrust. We are letting these things get to us and dividing as muslims. We shouldnt let these things/people affect our personality and stay strong as an ummah. Hopefully insh'Allah we will past this test and follow the character of our beloved prophet [saw] and show what beautiful character we really have. lets try to contol our emotions,(especially anger, as it is from satan). sorry for the long post will be waiting to hear your posts again forgive us, your sister [color=Purple]PS I wanted to add that Alhumdulilah Jannah did an awesome thing by giving the umm comm a break and there a new 'hope' board :-* (chek it out if you havent)[/color] |
