| [slm] fire rages across a forest flames rise up to the sky burning ancient trees leaves, lives, homes all is lost wildlife sanctuary no more fire gives way to wind gives way to rain tiny droplets from heaven crackling wood and water tiptoeing sound ashes a seedling emerges green and smoke life begins anew bombs rain tempest fire death hospital overflowing babies crying a new face 'its a girl' death destruction 'say the adhan in her ear' theres no more room for the injured 'her name is mariam' life emerges will emerge the masjid last night a women walks in islamophobia 'my name is valencia' i'm ready for shahada ...theres no sisters... i'm ready now second one this week 'i bear witness' 'Allah' 'Muhammad [saw]' Allahu akbar Allah is greater we will survive Allah is greater we will emerge from the smoldering ashes Allah is greater |

| [slm] Reading lightningatnite's peom gave me peace. so what i wrote is therapy for me. i guess you don't see it that way. sorry. if it makes you sad, i can take it down. I feel much better in this forum, i'm glad the UCC is locked and I hope it stays that way. So, like I said, just therapy for me. Not meant to make anyone sad. The question's rhetorical. Inshallah Palestine will get back on its feet. It did once, it did again. But please can we not have a politcal discussion on it? Thanks. |

I had no intention in any way At All to have a 'political discussion' on it. I was simply answering the poem and yes I was simply sad/wondering why there is a 'no hope' poem on hope section If I have unknowingly offended you, Im sorry. I will erase my post. |

I want to share with you guys a verse from a poem wriiten by qamar jalalawi Zalimon apni qismat pe naazan na ho daur badlega yehi waqt ki baat hai yaqeenan sunega saddayen meri kya tumhara khuda hai humara nahin ? My opressors do not gloat on your recent sucesses Things will change it is just a matter of time He (Allah swt) will definietly answer my prayers For is he just your god and not mine? --------------------------------------------------------- There is hope dear brothers and sisters, There is a brighter future for us twommorow, lets correct ourselves, forget our differences , and work together as an individual , family ,friends, community & ummah {for every drop contributes in making of an ocean} for the sake of Allah swt May Allah swt accept us ,grant our prayers with aafiyath and shower us with his mercy Allahumma ameen [wlm] |
